Dangerous herbicides being sprayed around Southwark
EDjules replied to cjohnson66's topic in The Lounge
as a side note and slightly off topic but the OP did say "There are many more safe and cost effective methods to deal with unwanted plants! ...can people please post the alternatives for pesticides? ive been using vinegar / salt / lemon juice depending on the area (salt not on the lawn obviously) but would love to know some other effective alternatives. -

Wow some serious Trolling going on here I just hope the poor relatives/friends of the teenager don't read this. Thin line between speculation and libel.

My friend asked each guest to tell them a song they would get up to dance to and put it on a playlist.

HOP is zone 3. I do that commute and just get a HOP - London terminals monthly card for ?87.20 then use oyster for any other journeys past that. Much cheaper than 1-3 travelcard at 136.80 a month.

We are needing to book a taxi to Stanstead airport for a 6.30am flight on saturday and would appreciate if anyone has a good recommendation for a cheap and reliable taxi company/individual to save me ringing round all of the ones listed in SE london. Thanks

Its more likely to be a council employed tree officer (or even a member of the public reporting dangerous tree to the council) that determines the work to be done. Then the work is sent to the contractors to complete as instructed. My partner does council trees for a different borough and that is how it works their, they just follow instructions.

I am looking for a recommendation for a good cookery school or individual class (perhaps at a restaurant) in south east london / london bridge area. Seems to be lots in the west end but prefer something more local Thanks

I was walking down Rye Lane on Saturday 17th Nov and there were protesters trying to stop people going into 2 of the shops near the station (think one of them was called Ash). They didn't actually explain why people should boycott this stores. Any ideas what their gripe was about?

How do I find out a telephone number for a new property?
EDjules replied to EDjules's topic in The Lounge
Yes Gidget they should but they don't and tenants are replying. I just wondered if there was a way I could find out without physically checking the line. Thanks for your suggestions though, will try them. -
I am trying to sign up to Sky for TV and broadband in my new flat. They need to know the current landline number in this property to confirm my order. The previous tenants have not yet moved out and are not replying to the letting agent to tell them the number. Sky have told me to wait until I move in, buy a landline phone and dial a number to find out what it is. This is very unhelpful as there is already a 3 week wait for internet installation and I do not intend on buying/using a landline telephone. Any one got an idea how I get around this quickly? Thanks
