  1. Silent PC built with high quality CPU fan and BeQuiet PSU Intel i3-4130 processor, quad core @ 3.4GHz 8GB fast ram, upgradable to 32GB Asus CS-B Motherboard (Socket 1150, Micro ATX, 4x DDR3, PC-1600, USB 3.0, SATA3) Samsung EVO 500GB high performance solid state hard disk, completely reformatted with clean installation of ChromeOS ready for first time log-on. Great condition and flies through everyday computing. £60
  2. 2x bathroom extractor fans to be fitted through 30cm brick wall. One bathroom is directly on top of the other in the back two-story addition of our Victorian end of terrace house. Side access is clear to place ladder securely. Both fans will need an isolator switch above the bathroom door and will have switched live activated by existing downlight circuit. Access above both rooms is limited so you’ll be working through the spotlight holes to access junction boxes and possibly need to cut a hole to gain access from beneath. I will have the following components already: · Airflow iCON 15 fans · External vents · 4 inch pipe · Fan isolator switches Happy to buy other materials if you don’t carry them. I would like the 4-inch hole to be cut with drill rather than chiselled out and impacted plaster board to be left sound ready for me to fill and paint afterwards. Preference will be given to tradesman that have fitted fans before and happy to make the hole and complete the wiring, but will split the job if necessary. Please let me know what you happy to commit to. Suggest you would want to visit to take a look, or we do a video call to give you full understanding so you can quote on a fixed price basis. I’m fairly electrically minded, so if you have any questions I can probably answer them. Ideally looking for somebody available within the next month or so. Shout if you know body who could help. Thansk!

  8. Recommending Grant who has just finished a beautiful job laying Amtico tiles in our bathroom. Extremely helpful in the early stages of the job, explaining exactly what was required and guiding on how much LVT I needed to buy. The job was completed quickly and efficiently with no mess or fuss at all and excellent communication throughout. The pricing was competitive and fixed. If you’re happy to stray away from Amtico’s official distribution channels, the fixed RRP pricing and shop overheads, I would highly recommend giving Grant a shout. The product is the same and the fitting is exceptional. Grant: 07866 429951
  9. We are also 'victims' of these events. Agree, no issue with the general level of football stadium noise, or use for parties and their timings which are not overly late. My only issue is the bass, which is phenomenal and grotesquely inappropriate for a built up area. I am 1/4 a mile away and my glasses also shake in the cupboard, no exaggeration. Are any other people impacted? I'll log and contact the club and escalate to a counsellor if necessary.
  10. If looking for fries (rather than chips) to eat with mussels, I would go with MeatLocker washed down with something from HB&B.
  11. You really need to speak to a qualified party wall surveyor. There are considerations that will be unique to your circumstances. I can recommend somebody we used when completing our kitchen side/back return, pm if you like. This is an area where professional advice is worth every penny.
  12. A man on our road (near ED Station) on a couple of occasions doing the same. Wearing a yellow council jacket. I think he was just looking for scrap metal etc he can sell, but with a number of break ins on our road, I did challenge him and get his picture.
  13. Think about scrapping BT altogether... Frustrated with copper broadband (at <2mb!!) and the promise of fibre for over three years, I have just cancelled by broadband and landline. I have a mobile wifi deal and router combo set up with speeds of 40+. I am paying ?25pcm for 50gb with EE, so saving me money and much faster connection.
  14. A neighbour was broken into on St. Francis Road over the weekend. They got in through the bay window at the front of the house. They had new double glazed uPVC sash windows. Check your windows people!
