Heritage Cheese on Calton Avenue by the village do good sandwiches. My lunchtime go to option. Not cheap but decent

Ok - so I thought I’d give your recommendation a go and boy do I not regret it! I got to choose my large piece of fresh herby focaccia and it was filled with generous slices of Gouda, lightly fried pieces of pancetta, fresh basil and small warm cubes of fresh tomatoes. Quite possibly the best sandwich I’ve had - It was meant to be for my lunch but I couldn’t wait! Definitely well worth paying that little bit extra for! Thanks for the great recommendation! I’d add a photo but I ate it all before thinking of taking one!

  2. My son’s school, Forest Hill Boys, has recruited a group of Year 7 students who are getting together every week after school to develop an Eco Garden in the school grounds.

The area is currently overgrown with brambles and in desperate need of a makeover. They have spent several weeks clearing it but now need some help in several areas:

    • Donations of plants and garden tools (forks, secateurs, watering cans, etc)
    • Volunteers to help repair the greenhouse and shed
    • Contacts for businesses/organisations they could approach for larger donations (compost, gravel, wood chips)

If anyone is able to help with donations or advice, please do get in contact with me - I would be extremely grateful.

    Many  thanks!

Hi. I can only go by the East Dulwich Forum Facebook updates as the gentleman who found the dog is posting on there. His last message, which I will post a screenshot of here, said the dog was not chipped and had no registered owner. Lots of people have since commented on the post with lots of suggestions. You can see them if you have a FB account and search for the East Dulwich Forum.

  4. I?m looking for someone who could look after 2 stick insects whilst I am away from 27th July - 25th August. They live in a small terrarium (easy to carry) and daily duties are just spraying their home with water and once a week cleaning their home out and replacing with fresh brambles. If this is a service any pet sitters offer please get in contact. Many thanks.

Not all children can go back yet. The government announced that Reception, Year 1 and year 6 could go back but only in bubbles of 15, so essentially splitting classes in half. That means those years need double the amount of classrooms to accommodate the new bubbles. They also have to have key-worker?s children in separate bubbles, again taking up further classrooms. So there would not be enough classrooms left to allow other years to come in. Hopefully this may change by September but schools are yet to hear exactly how it would work.

  6. You?re right Friernlocal. Apparently someone there had the virus so they?ve closed. I phoned Chadwick and did explain that there was nothing on the website to inform patients of this and no recorded message to re-divert phone calls or give patients the Chadwick Road number but I?m not sure anything will be done to rectify that. So anyone who is a patient at DMC, ring the Chadwick Road number.
