our neighbour has had some lovely shutters recently installed in their living room. They are from Hilary's blinds. They look very good quality but were unbelievably expensive. I have seen other companies recommended on this forum..but wondering if quality is as good..or do you get what you pay for?

Teenagers- how is yours today?
Sillysol2001 replied to womanofdulwich's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Mine aged 13 seems to spend every minute she is not at school in bed. Is this normal????? Prior to secondary school she loved going out and was always doing something. She sometimes goes out with friends but the impression I get from talking to her is that her friends spend their time doing nothing too!! -
My daughter received an I pad mini for her birthday today. She put in a pass number and must have entered it incorrectly because she is now locked out. When she enters the number a notice comes up saying I pad disabled. She was in the process of setting it up and hadn't yet sync with I tunes? Do we need to take it to an Apple store to resolve. Any suggestions ?....thanks

Sky High Builders - Renovations, Loft conversions, Extensions

Another recommendation for Marvin and his team at Sky High builders. Our loft conversion is beautiful. We had it done about 3 years ago and everyone who sees it thinks it is the nicest they have seen. -
furby/teksta pubby - anyone got one?!
Sillysol2001 replied to Jacks50's topic in The Family Room Discussion
We bought our daughters a furby each last Xmas. One didn't work at all. The other did and was so ghastly when the useless one was taken back to the shop, a replacement was not requested. The furby which worked was so irritating (it does not shut up) that we were relieved when the batteries died only a few hours after we put in. My daughter lost interest in it very quickly, and when she tried to revive it recently it refused to work and we were secretly very pleased. I would not recommend. -

Washer dryers (sorry, boring thread)
Sillysol2001 replied to Polly D's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I have one of these Lakeland dryers and it is great. washing dries very quickly usually overnight. There is a lot of drying space and it folds up to a reasonable size so it is easy to store. would highly recommend. -
we usually go to Spain each year in the summer to stay with relatives. This year my children are complaining it is too boring and they want to go somewhere where they can meet other children and take part in activities without their boring parents!! Am looking for suggestions. Husband and I like a bit of comfort so not keen on camping, or at least not in a tent. Also would like some guaranteed sun. Thanks
