Hi Kes I do teach second time mums too and have had a third time mum in classes before. I enjoying teaching all mums to be not just those that have sailed though easy births because if someone who has had a tougher journey (including myself not once but twice ) can still say birth is positive and wonderful, what bigger confidence boost is there to new mums-to-be. Classes are not about planning for and aspiring too the ?perfect birth? but more so to stay in control and face the changes mother nature may bring to your journey. Our movements help with the physical changes that pregnancy brings, as well as common ailments and other aspects like helping baby into optimum position. During our relaxation segment there?s time purely for you and bump to bond ( how rare is it to get even 15 mins thats only about you ! ) especially true for second time mums. There are 101 reasons why mother nature may conspire against us on the day ? position of baby, cord length,. Cervical lip ? How my classes help is to empower mums to work with the hand they are dealt. Through classes we are not striving for natural and active birth, but for confident empowered birth journeys which allow ALL women to utilise micro moves and relaxation ? Hope that clarifies what I we do a little better.
