I would highly recommend Fede's hairdressing skills. He is a total professional and I am delighted with my new cut - as are my two daughters, aged 3 and 6. Fede was wonderful with the children and worked around my 3 year old who insisted on sitting on my lap whilst Fede cut her unruly locks! Have you had any private responses to this post? We've got an extremely cold kitchen (with the additional delights of occasional mould) so have been considering external wall insulation options. We wouldn't be looking at the entire building but, as we're end of terrace, just the longest side wall that forms most of our kitchen. I'm hoping to get some suppliers around in the next month or so - if you're considering doing the same, perhaps we could swap notes? Cheers.

We just wanted to write a heartfelt review for painter, decorator and all around good guy John Charles. John came to us recommended, but we'd had similar recommendations for other decorators previously, and always felt let down. Our previous experiences were of shoddy work, poor timekeeping, high costs and loads and loads of mess! John helped us to make those bad experiences a distant, paint-flecked memory. He came around to give us a quote the day after we contacted him, was courteous throughout, and extremely easy to talk to. John was always bang on time, worked long days, stuck to his quote, achieved what we think are absolutely stunning results and, perhaps most amazingly, left our house immaculate every day! He was also incredibly swift in coming back to do the final snags - in our experience, it's always so hard to get decorators to come back and finish the last tiny bits - and has also been great in recommending other tradespeople of a similar standard. And, when we had bigger jobs, John was still able to get them done efficiently by bringing in other great decorators to work with him. We've now had John in for two separate phases of decorating, and are already looking forward to getting him back for a third. Could not recommend him more highly. And another recommendation for David and the guys at Norwood Roofing. They did a fantastic job repairing ruined rendering on our roof, replacing broken slates, adding a new chimney cowl and generally giving our aged Victorian roof a new lease of life. They were approachable and considerate throughout - as well as being swift and reasonably priced. Definitely recommended.

I just wanted to second the above recommendation for Norwood Roofing. They've just done a fantastic job repairing our guttering, rendering and broken roof tiles, as well as giving some much-needed attention to our chimney stack. We had thought that the job was going to be a nightmare on the basis of feedback given by our plasterer, but David and his team were prompt, friendly, swift and considerate. Just another recommendation for Barney Rubble. We had contacted other potential removal companies, but no one came close to the value of his quote. Called on Friday evening to make first contact, they were there first thing on Saturday to give us the quote and by mid-afternoon had come to remove a full front garden's worth of rubbish. Charming guy, and left the place immaculate. Highly recommended.
