Haven't heard anything either but sounds like a good idea. Wouldn't harm traffic flow but would make it safer and more relaxed for pedestrians.

new to the area also, have yet to check out all the pubs etc but the Gowlett Arms seems nice. Would be nice to meet some forum members.
