Morning all. There have been a few sightings of a cat that looks a lot like Rupert around McDermott Road and the old school site but we haven’t managed to see it ourselves yet. If you see a black cat round there could you let me know? Also if you own a black cat that you know spends time in the old school site it would be useful to know so we can eliminate them. Our cat, Rupert, has gone missing from Waghorn Street. He disappeared yesterday afternoon and has not been seen since. He is never normally out for long and doesn’t venture far so I’m worried he may have been shut in somewhere. If you live in the vicinity and have a shed etc would you mind checking? He is all black, with just a few white hairs under his chin, and a shaved patch on his right leg from a recent vet trip. Thanks so much

Our plan to have a new oven installed has been foiled by the discovery that the current extractor hood is too low to meet regulations. Looking for somebody to raise it for us so we can get the oven installers back, ideally this week. Please DM if you can help. Thanks. Beth

Peter and co moved us yesterday and although I was dreading it they made the whole process as painless as possible. Friendly, thorough, efficient and totally unflappable. I would highly recommend them and will certainly use them for my next move.

Another glowing recommendation for Dave. He sorted out a tricky drain blockage for me the day after I called him. He was efficient, effective and very reasonably priced. I will definitely be keeping his details for the future.

I've just had a fabulous pedicure from Emma. She is lovely, flexible, reasonably priced and a real perfectionist. Such a treat too to have pedicure in my own home! Highly recommend.

I just had a pedi at Crystal Nails and it was wonderful. The massage chairs alone make a visit worth while but the pedi itself was also excellent. I will definitely be back. -
I am having furniture delivered on Saturday afternoon (9th) and the previous unsuccessful attempt at delivery suggests the door frame will need to be removed. Is anyone available to do it Saturday morning? Many thanks in advance

A wonderful happy ending, and solved a mystery for me. We had a distraught message from the builder to say the ladders he left outside the flat had disappeared. By the time we got home late Saturday evening they were right where he left them. We wondered how he could possibly have missed them! Very glad they were put to such good use.

I visited Miguel in his new salon on Saturday and he was as wonderful as ever. I too was panicking when he moved so hugely relieved to now know where he is! The Rose & Crown salon is lovely, as is the vintage shop next door, and they are open until 10.30 pm on week nights which I will certainly be taking advantage of.

After hearing such good things I booked a table a couple of weeks ago for dinner tonight. I was told on Thursday evening that they would be closed. Not even an apology. Not impressed.
