  1. The hat has now been found and returned.
  2. Hi. I lost my favorite hat on Monday evening (28th March) and I hope if it has been found and it can be returned. I last had it in Franklin?s restaurant at about 6pm. I left the restaurant at about 20:30. I don't remember leaving the restaurant with the hat. Franklins has confirmed that it was not handed to their staff and they cannot find it in the bar area where it was last seen. After leaving the restaurant I caught the P13 bus home. The hat is from Northern India but is best described as a "Trapper Hat". The attached image is the closest I can find on the internet, but mine is different in the following ways. The fur on the forehead part is dark brown with darker, near black streaks. The fur inside is similar but also grey in places. The forehead part is attached to the suede leather with two snap fasteners. The tassels at the end of the ears protectors are braided suede leather. Whilst not valuable the hat holds sentimental value and I would very pleased to find it. I will also be contacting lost and found at TFL. Regards Andrew
  3. Happy to share the crime reference number for the incident that opened the thread. CAD 1449/27 NOV UB
  4. I wish my eyesight was as keen as yours MarkT and I had got the registration number. I'm now aware of another similar incident that took place on LL on Wednesday that may or may not be connected. The police have now taken the details of my incident and advise they will link up other information they receive, so please come forward if you have been affected by this. Any action that leads to a credible deterrent to stop this will be a good thing.
  5. A warning and a call out to others who may have been unfortunate to experience this. On two occasions this week (Tuesday and Thursday) I have been shot as I walk along Underhill Road by The old cemetery. Both incidents occurred at about 07:25 and both times I was hit in the back of the head. On both occasions a white transit van was driving passed that proceeds down Underhill Road. The first time I thought the van may have kicked up a stone and thought no more of it, when it happened again I was in no doubt that I had been targeted by something that was quite accurate, hence an air pistol, but I may be wrong. Whatever it was it hurts and it could do some real damage if it hit you elsewhere. Regrettably I didn't take the time to try and find the projectiles, nor did I get the registration number of the van. It is possible that the shot was not taken from the van. It's doubtful I'm the only target and it would be interesting to know if anyone else has had the same experience. The police have been notified and statements are due to be taken. I encourage you to do the same if you have experienced or witnessed something similar. Apologies to those living in the vicinity who will have heard a choice word or two shouted by me on Thursday morning. UB
  6. Hi Emily Unfortunately I'm not responding to give you feedback on the companies, rather asking if you could let me know the experience you have with getting your windows replaced. My wife and I gave recently moved into a new house and two windows need replacing. From your experience so far can you recommend any of the companies. I appreciate you may not have had the work started yet. Kind regards. UB
  7. I'll keep this brief. I understand that Campervan Man is now renting a flat in the local area. It does have a toilet I gather!
