I have just moved to Southwark from Lewisham where I am involved in a pressure group CLASH ( Campaign in Lewisham for Autism Spectrum Housing ) which was set up by parents who have young adults at home and who need to find independent living solutions. We have been campaigning for 3 years now and have come to the conclusion that the only way to make this happen is to find a a suitable property and set up the necessary support arrangements ourselves. We need a property that could accommodate 4-6 young people , with lots of light , not too far from local amenities and with a garden. All of our members seeking accommodation have care assessments and the support they need to make this move towards independence They just need somewhere to go!
