  1. The extended planning consultation period for development ends today. Southwark have not updated their website to show this, although they have been asked to on more than one occasion. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I urge East Dulwich residents to look at the planning application to convert the current annexe into 3 separate houses. The development is very dense and in breach of the idea of keeping East Dulwich suburban. It is also building on what was original a garden of a house on Melbourne Grove, which could establish a trend for such back garden development.
  2. l really like Chris at Dulwich Dental Centre on Lordship lane near the post office.
  3. Due to the problems with virgin they have been giving me free data via my Virgin mobile so I can hotspot my phone. It works really well and does reduce the stress a bit.
  4. If you are going first thing, get there 15 mins before it is due to open as they always have a queue of people on their way to work. Mid morning is really quick and they are fanastic.
  5. I live on Ashbourne Grove and have been looking out for him, it appears we have rather of lot of black or black and white cats on the road, actually their appear to be a lot of cats!! So glad he is home, ours (B & W) got stuck in a garden and was missing for 48 hrs, it was awful, I felt your pain. Louisa at No 50
  6. Hi Mark I am really sorry, I am trying to add photos to a for sale post and can not work out how to as it doesn't have add photos when you edit. What do I need to do. Thanks Louisa
  7. I think if one of my sons had stolen a bike whilst threatening someone with a knife, his name being posted on a forum would be the least of my worries! Jtshone I hope your son and his friend are ok and that you have your bike back.
  8. Thank you, we will try Codfellas as it does GF batter. I went a long time ago and collected a takeaway and it wasn't that great when we got home. Most probably because F & C should be scoffed immediately.
  9. Hi Can anyone recommend a fish and chip shop that is a good (or almost) as good as the Seacow on Lordship Lane was. NO1 is away so taking NO2 son out and fish and chips are his favourite but so far we are yet to find an alternative! Thanks
  10. I also had a rather pushy unicef collector. We do give to charity and I explained that I would be happy to consider donating if they left the DD form with us but due to financial constraints I couldn't make a decision until next Month. He then looked at my house (mine is probably exactly the same as every other Victorian House in ED) and shrugged his shoulders as if I was lying and said he couldn't leave the form as it had his details on. I said oh well never mind and he said he could come back in a few hours once I had filled it in, when I said I wasn't going to do that he said something like "go back to your nice life", I just shut the door!
  11. We have been told to to a factory reset on our internal router, has anyone done this at home as I can't believe it will make any difference! I am not using my phone as a hot spot as I can't actually to any work otherwise Stressed!!
  12. Hi I need a favour! Can someone please put the information about her on the East Dulwich lost and found Facebook page. For some reason I can not access the page on facebook and we need to get the word out about her. I would be really grateful. Louisa Ellis Paxton Vets
  13. This beautiful Bengal girl was found near to our Gipsy Road clinic yesterday. She has a microchip, but the phone number on the database is invalid, so we are unable to contact her owner. Does anybody recognise her? Surely somebody must be missing her. Please SHARE and help us find her way home again. If anyone has any information please call 020 8670 1772. Thank you, the team at Paxton Vets
  14. Hi If you have access to a printner you could attach a paper collar, you write your mobile asking for the O to contact you to comfirm he/she is owned. https://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/pets/cats/straycats
  15. Hi Renata, Brown bins collected twice now and my tree is still here. What is happening this year with the council? I live on Ashbourne Grove SE22, it is very windy tonight so not sure where my tree will be in the morning! Thanks Louisa
  16. http://www.rspca.org.uk/adviceandwelfare/pets/cats/straycats Hi, if you have access to a printer you could download stray cat paper collars and pop one on the cat. They are in section 2 of the page. It may help you contact the owner. L
  17. They have made a temp car park (its on the grass) on the other side of the school, coming in from Townley Road.
  18. I am really sorry to read you were burgled. I have been trying to get into the habit of deadlocking the door even when we are in the house. This has prompted me to tell my children and husband AGAIN, I am happy to be your one person but I really hope their are others that do the same. Louisa
  19. Soren Can you give me an indication of cost please. Thanks Louisa
  20. Perhaps I will, and will hope not to offend them in doing so. So I won't start with I hear you can't afford your rent anymore. I was only asking if their was any truth to see if anyone actually knew, and then try to support them against ridiculous rent raises by greedy landlords. I always have several months break posting on this forum, and again I have been reminded why.
  21. Is their any truth in the rumour it is closing in the new year due to a rise in the rent?
  22. Thank you Bic Basher for sending the link, I am not sure what to do now as the reviews are mixed but they are better than DMC though!
  23. Hi My family and I have been a patients of Dulwich Medical Centre but am thinking of changing to Lordship Lane Surgery. Does anyone have any experience of this surgery and what the Dr's are like, can you actually get an appointment without planning to be ill in advance? Thank you
