  1. Myself and my partner have had real problems either replying to threads or starting a new thread in the For Sale/Offered section. Has anyone else had the same problem?
  2. Jesus H Christ - poor Richard Ayoade. No wonder he looks faintly terrified.
  3. I'm guessing Marmora Road is outside of the ED ward?
  4. I got the 185 from Wood Vale right to Victoria and it didn't take too long. It was busy, but most people managed to get on.
  5. jctg Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Email the UK CEO. Seriously. > http://campaigns.vodafone.co.uk/guylaurence/ This worked for me the last time. They got back to me almost immediately and gave me 3 months worth of credit.
  6. Sorry to dig this old chestunt up again - but is anyone having any probs with Vodafone again? We're on Marmora Road and we're lucky if we get one bar.
  7. How's the drink selection now? Have the started diversifying a bit now or is it still whatever the brewery will give them?
  8. Tylertoes - slow down and think before you start throwing the insults about. This wasn't a pop at the police in any way - nor was it to say there was any blame. If you were passing the spot at the time (which I did) you would have agreed that it looked a lot more like an 'operation' than a callout for a collapsed man. Bearing in mind there was a fatal stabbing in Lewisham this week, it could easily have been a swoop on a suspect. Now I have more information I know that wasn't the case.
  9. I counted about 3 or 4 police vehicles, a dog handling vehicle and two ambulances which is a pretty big turn out for somebody randomly found in the grass. I get the feeling the police may be the reason why he was lying in the grass in the first place.
  10. Is there any update on this? It still looks very much under construction at the moment
  11. Does anyone know of any local walking clubs at all? I'm thinking more of a group that does decent hikes in the South East and occasional forays into the hills rather than a ramblers group. I'm looking to get back into doing regular treks, and tying friends down for a weekend (easy now) can prove quite tricky - so I'm looking for like-minded individuals who are happy to head out of town once or twice a month and tackle some different trails. Kind of like these cycling excursions people seem to organise down here all the time - but without the lycra.
  12. Has nobody started the thread speculating about whether they'll be building an M&S or Waitrose there yet? I couldn't care less what they turn the play area - it'll take a lot more than a knocked down climbing frame to fix that place. I'm holding out for the re-opened Ivy House for a decent local pint.
  13. Ah, the good old South London microclimate. There's about a cm in Victoria and the place is ghostly. It looks like loads of people stayed at home to avoid the second ice age. Of course, I won't be joking about it when I'm stuck on the 185 at Vauxhall at 10 tonight after setting off at 5:30.
  14. I'm in Marmora Road and I'm having the same problems. I'm effectively paying ?40 a month for sweet FA - and their overtures of fixing the problem and compensating me for the inconvenience have come to nothing. I've sent message to their CEO and complaints again today. Let's see if anything comes of it (probably not)
