  1. I also highly recommend Doug, who has been a fantastic find for us.

Doug built a wardrobe and a media unit for us. We have found him easy to communicate with and we are happy with the finished product.

Doug is also helping us with some other carpentry jobs around the house after some extensive renovations that have been carried out by a builder.

If you would like to discuss my experience further or come over to look at the end product, private message me.

  2. I'd like to post a recommendation for the Plumber, Terry (don't know his surname), who repaired a leak in my ceiling. He can be contacted on 07831607998. He was very reasonably priced (too much so, I ended up paying him extra) and reliable.

My only word of warning is that he did take his time and he loved a chat. I personally don't mind the latter - he's a really affable bloke - but it might not be for everyone.

You won't find any other recommendations for Terry on this forum - he was recommended to me by a friend whose Dad is a retired builder. The family won't use anyone other than Terry for their plumbing works. And now neither will I.

If you want any more info, drop me a private message. If anyone wants to inspect his handy work in the next month or so, they are welcome to pop over and have a look at the massive hole in my ceiling before I patch it up.

  3. Great review byngo. I am currently considering whether to use them. It's a toss up between using them or getting separate drawings done and putting it out to tender. If anyone else has any other recommendations, I'd love to hear of them.
  4. It is indeed very good, I agree.

I have also previously posted a recommendation on here for Cod Father on Bellenden Road having had one excellent meal there. Unfortunately I went there a second time recently and was less than impressed. Cod was far too greasy and probably could have done with being drained off for a little longer.

Rose's is going to be my go-to place for the foreseeable future.

  5. If they are the same as Rannaghor, which it looks like they are, the food is generally really good. I've only tried it once as Millennium Tandoori and, frankly, I'd had too many beers to pass proper judgment!

I must say though, I do find the constant re-branding a bit frustrating and borderline deceptive. Fox says he recognises the faces, but I popped in after it had re-branded to MT and I was categorically told it was "under new management".

  6. I tried this on Friday night. It was fine. It seemed to be similar in quality to Rannaghor, although some of our meat was a little on the tough side.

Given the similar portion sizes, quality etc., I query whether this T/A has actually changed hands. It seems like it could be a re-branding exercise. I also find it a little bit odd that the shop front recently changed to "Grill Bites" only a few weeks or so ago.
