  1. Genius. A cat is passed on. Big deal. Ooh no sorry..."people are just so horrible...like"
  2. Let's look after this guy. He makes the world a better place...sun always shines on North X road.
  3. Super friendly, super hard working, thorough beyond the call of duty...Does anyone else think this guy is special?
  4. Horse meat steak tartare, the tastiest palliation for anemia.
  5. Saffron, really interesting, it goes some way to answering the imperfections of human disposal as it stands. Are prions not just confined to brain and spinal cords? I understand this subject is a bit morbid and taboo but getting over the taboo for the purpose of discussion brings up interesting stuff like your post (amongst others).

The benefits an animal gets from being tamed, especially when that animal is prey in the natural order of the food chain is : to not be constantly in fear of being eaten alive by predators, to be fed, watered and looked after for the simple reason that it is a valuable commodity to the tamer....And yes I have eaten horse and were it available in this country would gladly have it again since it is very lean, iron rich and rather good.
  7. Table tennis : yes please, lets have some Olympic legacy on Peckham Rye! There are a few good sheltered spots where it would be great to have them. Not everyone loves football or running. Where there are tables they seem like great fun and are well used.
  8. In the food chain, horses and goats are prey to animals with eyes on the front of their heads...so I suppose living without the fear of being eaten would be a good enough reason for them to feel as close to happiness as it exists in their minds. On top of that, not being overworked and fed appropriatly, one would be forgiven for thinking that these creatures, if they could voice an opinion, would tell those animal-rights protesters where to go.
  9. E.P, Maybe you could start a thread asking how belief in God structures behaviour... be prepared to unleash a river or prejudice, some baring commendable traits of behaviour...some maybe not so much. Certainly quite entertaining/interesting. Good luck.
  10. Why not advertise on this forum with a few good pictures ?

Men have been defining God or Gods in whatever way they wished ever since metaphysics, and one could also argue that among believers of the same faith each and every member of that faith has a slightly or very different understanding of this indeed rather large concept. I was only trying to reply to the question posted as : "Is there a God" understood as, the belief in the existence of God...Not it motives. > > Gods have always been moral arbiters and the > personification of supernatural or poorly > understood events. More accurately Gods have been used by man to justify their moral precepts. > > You can't suddenly announce that your definition > doesn't include morality or human characteristics > and expect people to understand you. > Sorry if you don't...

I think the wonder is a very valid reason to suppose the existence of an all pervasive clever order.
