  1. I have a lot of piano scores to give away. Quite a variety of composers - Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Ravel etc etc etc All in excellent condition. Any piano teachers and/or students out please get in touch. I'm in the Peckham / East Dulwich area. Pop over and take a look. Peter
  2. I think this development proposal is appalling. I have been a Hamlet fan since I moved to the area over 25 years ago. I would love it to thrive, but not at the expense of the local environment. I am extremely concerned that the football club is anxious for all fans to support this application, and to give the impression that it is the unanimous view of all supporters. The few green spaces we have are precious and need protecting. The club have got themselves into an unhealthy relationship with a property company who were only a short while ago were trying to put them out of business. Southwark Council should not collude in it. I would urge all those who feel strongly about it to register their objection on the Southwark Council planning website. https://bit.ly/savegreendale
  3. Spotted Oscar winner Sir Mark Rylance in Choumert Road on Monday evening!
  4. Hi Sultana, it is tricky to learn an instrument if you don't have something to practice on. You probably need a friend or neighbour with a piano who'd let you play. The only other solution might be to buy an electronic keyboard - cheaper than a piano, and you can also play with headphones if you don't want to disturb anyone. I could give you some advice about keyboards if you think of getting one. You'd be welcome to come and try a lesson and see what you want to do. I charge ?30 per hour (30 mins or 45 mins usually enough at the beginning. Give me a call if you want a chat. Peter 07952 314424

  6. Hi Folks, was out running on Peckham Rye and happened upon a bunch of pretend soldiers running about with a mock drill sergeant balling at them. I was wearing a white shirt so hardly difficult to spot and there was loads of room to pass by, but I was almost run off the path by this bunch of idiots charging towards me. Perhaps they didn't know other people might be allowed to use the park? Some basic manners woudn't go amiss.

    Birds do it

Hello everyone, I was walking in Dulwich Park yesterday and spotted a rather lovely moorhen close by. I bent down to take a closer look and as I did so I distinctly heard a fart. Is it a known fact that birds fart, or is this unusual? I'm curious to know if anyboby else has similar experiences to share. Thankyou
