  1. Thanks for the comments. A lovely lady picked it up & it's now returned.
  2. Hello, I have lost my phone someone on the playing fields adjacent to Colynton Road. I was walking my dog 'Biscuit' & think it might have come out of my pocket when I crouched down. It's black with a silver/sparkle case. If you find it, please call 07966 190496. Fingers crossed. Lucy
  3. Hello, We are looking for recommendations for reliable, loving & knowledgeable person/company to help with puppy training & walking our 11 week old puppy. All recommendations are welcome, we're close to Peckham Rye Thanks
  4. Hello, We are looking for a puppy training course for our cockapoo - can anyone recommend one? Also any recommendations for puppy walkers? Thanks Lucy
  5. Tony recently came and fixed some guttering that had come loose and causing problems. He came with another guy who between them navigated the challenges of getting onto the roof and did a great job. He arrived when he said he would, clear communication about the price and a really nice & honest guy - I paid him too much by mistake and he came back and returned the extra ?20 i gave him. I'll definitely use him again.
  6. Based on the above, I contacted Tony for a non-urgent, but frustrating issue with our shower that we've put up with for over a year. Tony came out, on a Friday evening. He spent an hour identifying the problem & fixing it. He was prompt, considerate, friendly and really cared about doing a good job. Will definitely be using him again.
  7. Can you share his number. I have a problem with my shower. Thanks
  8. Very poor pressure on Dovedale Road - anyone the same nearby?
  9. Hello, Can anyone recommend a face-painter for a 4 year old b'day. I'm looking for someone for probably an hour & half, on Saturday 17th in East Dulwich. Thanks
  10. We're looking into holding a b'day party for mt 4 year old daughter & friends in a separate venue, rather than our house! We were thinking of hiring a big space for inflatables & ideally lots of sporting activities so they can run around for a couple of hours!! Anyone got any advice for good venues or are children's entertainment - i'd love to do lots of sporting games, but that all seems to start at 5 and above. Thanks Lucy
  11. Thankyou all. I listened to you advice. Application in. No sit back until April!!
  12. Hi, Goodrich is our closest school and that's our first choice, but we find ourselves 50metres out of last year's catchment area. (It's also where our childminder drops off/picks up, who is our lifesaver and will be hard to cope without). Fairlawn is our next closest, and we were told that we didn't stand a chance of getting in. We've heard great things about Harris, so we visited and found we're likely to be just outside that catchment area. Whilst we can put 6 schools down, I've been told only to put schools down that you are happy to send your child to. And if you don't get your first, second or third choices and get a school that you don't want then it's harder to appeal. As opposed to only putting your preferred down and not getting in and being given a school by the council, and appeal is more likely to be successful. At the moment I'm thinking of putting Goodrich/Fairlawn/Harris down in that order, hoping I get Goodrich & could go down on the waiting list for Fairlawn. I really like Harris, but it's going to make life for us a whole harder vs Goodrich. Any advice?
  13. Thanks Convex I was going to ask about milk. It's a real comfort thing for our 3.5 year old at the moment, so think it will be quite hard. But will ask if she wants it, I'm sure the answer will be yes!
  14. Thankyou Lula & Jules-and-Boo I'll give your tips a try
  15. Thankyou everyone. I'm going to persevere and be strong. The milk is probably a comfort thing as she still asks for it, but will consider reducing that. Can I ask you guys for your routines? I'm wondering whether interaction with the TV is a problem, but to be honest that's what help wind her down.
  16. Hi, I'd appreciate some advice on overcoming the bed time battle. I've got a beautiful, funny, creative, energetic 3.5 year old girl. She's a typical 3.5 year old. But the bed-night routine has become a nightmare. We've had a simple routine of Night Garden/Peppa, bath, bottle, books x 2 & sleep. For the last few months that seems to have changed - but only when I put her to bed. We go through the routine, but she won't get into bed, when she does she doesn't stay there, and currently I'm lucky if she's asleep by 9 - the routine started at 7. She just says no! I've been the calm mum. I've taken toys away. I've been the shouty mum (made her cry and felt guilty) I've tried the star chart She usually has an hour sleep at 1pm. If she doesn't she will fall asleep at 5ish. Any advice would be welcomed.
  17. I think I know this cat. We live at the Peckham Rye end of Dovedale Road and we've been woken up a few times in the morning but this cat's chat. Does anyone know what this cat looks like? We've recently noticed a cat which is ginger/black who doesn't have a collar & is looking very skinny and wondered if it had a home.
  18. Hi, We're doing some work to our house, which includes putting in a new loft, knocking down a wall to create & big kitchen/diner extension & also a bathroom. We think our requirements are more suited to one company who can do the whole job, including the design & looking for some recommendations for some reliable/trustworthy/friendly companies. Tx
  19. We'er just about to embark on a refurbishment of a 1930s semi in SE22, and starting the search for an Architect who is great at optimising space, and a reliable builder. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Not sure if this is a sensible move, or we've gone mad! Thanks Lucy
  20. Tradegy struck our family this morning when we lost 'Puddle' our daughter's first toy. It was lost somewhere around the playground near the pond, the pond & around the middle of the park. Fingers crossed someone's picked it up Lucy - 07961 576044
