  1. The beautiful & charming Choumert Square is holding its annual OPEN DAY this Sunday 8th June. 1pm - 6pm.

It's part of the National Gardens Week & donates the proceedings to Charity.

There will be various stalls including...... Pimms - Tombola (generous prizes!) - Plants for sale (incredible value!) - Bric A Brac (notoriously good!) - Teas & Cakes (exquisitely good!) - Books (rare & read & ready to be read again!) etc....

    Plus LIVE MUSIC

Come & down & visit this paradise in Peckham !

  2. It's a wonderful venue. It's a decaying vintage social club. Trapped in its 1970s decor - vinyl & Lino, nicotine stained polystyrene ceilings with a wondrous labyrinth of spaces. A spectacular bollards room - dark & beautifully nostalgic, and a very cheap bar with TV screen. Oh - and a garden!

This is a brilliant place to hold a party.

I went to the jazz gig there. Jazz is not my cup of tea - bit (more than) dull & an audience of half unconscious, & rather self conscious (& very young) trendies trying desperately to appear like jazz loving beatniks......

But the space is enchanting and a real gem!

  3. Also - a girl approached me in a bit of a flap as I was putting my pin in the Barclays corner hole-in-the-wall and said "oh no - i left my money in the machine - quick let me just check!" She was ?spanish/itlaian - with a dog. I said I am terribly sorry but there was another person here before me - so I wouldnt have seen.

    A scam? possibly..?

Just be aware of ANYONE approaching you at a hole-in-the-wall.....
