  1. The beautiful & charming Choumert Square is holding its annual OPEN DAY this Sunday 8th June. 1pm - 6pm.

It's part of the National Gardens Week & donates the proceedings to Charity.

There will be various stalls including...... Pimms - Tombola (generous prizes!) - Plants for sale (incredible value!) - Bric A Brac (notoriously good!) - Teas & Cakes (exquisitely good!) - Books (rare & read & ready to be read again!) etc....

    Plus LIVE MUSIC

Come & down & visit this paradise in Peckham !

  2. It's a wonderful venue. It's a decaying vintage social club. Trapped in its 1970s decor - vinyl & Lino, nicotine stained polystyrene ceilings with a wondrous labyrinth of spaces. A spectacular bollards room - dark & beautifully nostalgic, and a very cheap bar with TV screen. Oh - and a garden!

This is a brilliant place to hold a party.

I went to the jazz gig there. Jazz is not my cup of tea - bit (more than) dull & an audience of half unconscious, & rather self conscious (& very young) trendies trying desperately to appear like jazz loving beatniks......

But the space is enchanting and a real gem!

  3. Had breakfast there yesterday. So happy to see them open early. They actually open up at 7.30am for breakfasts!! Brilliant. The avocado on toast was absolutely beautiful. Lovely d?cor. Lovely ambiance. Lovely friendly staff. I will definitely be going back.
  4. Also - a girl approached me in a bit of a flap as I was putting my pin in the Barclays corner hole-in-the-wall and said "oh no - i left my money in the machine - quick let me just check!" She was ?spanish/itlaian - with a dog. I said I am terribly sorry but there was another person here before me - so I wouldnt have seen.

    A scam? possibly..?

Just be aware of ANYONE approaching you at a hole-in-the-wall.....
