  1. Was mounted on the wall, but could be stood up. A few marks, hence free! Near gipsy hill. Couple of pics of marks.
  2. Needs a wipe down but is otherwise fine
  3. Wondering if anybody has a Remarkable 2 lying around that they aren't using, I'd be interested in taking it off your hands!
  4. Not at all surprised to see the number of people recommending Niko. He came to look at leak at my place, and gave me extensive advice on how to fix it, along with several other things too. Super friendly, very much treats your problems as his problems. Listens, offers advice, flexible, and not pushy with it. 100% now my go to guy for anything I think he's done before.
  5. Oh, that old shady thing. Given their stance on climate change, and this statement: "Gas hobs could become a thing of the past if recommendations from the Committee on Climate Change are implemented." I'm not overly concerned anything will happen for the next 10 years. Plenty of line in it yet.
  6. For anybody looking for a recommendation for some plumbing work to be done I cannot recommend highly enough. Prompt, friendly, and from Lancaster! All the other people saying how trustworthy and reliable Rob is should say it all, but I wanted to add to that list!
  7. Exactly what the subject says :) Just bought a new kitchen hob, and realised that the gas pipes are quite old and I'd rather a qualified plumber does it, rather than me burning the flat down.
  8. Recommendations welcome, but I have 4 internal doors that need fitting. Having never done it before, and know a wonky door will drive me crazy, I'd rather somebody does it for me. I have handles etc. and they need installing too.
  9. Afternoon all! I have 4 internal doors I want to hang, already have the fittings, but not the skills (or probably tools, for that matter). Wondering if anybody can recommend a good joiner or handyman who can do the job for me. Tempted to try myself, but wonky doors are not the look I'm going for.
  10. Is this book club open to new members? Always looking for new reading recommendations, and would be great to meet new people in the area.
  11. Looking for a recommendation for a handy man who can do a few jobs around my flat: 1) fitting new skirting board throughout 2) re-tiling part of the kitchen 3) a few other little bits Typical stuff that's taken me forever to get around to looking at, and unlikely to make the time soon :)
  12. I'm looking for recommendations for a lawyer/solicitor which focuses on employment law, specifically unfair dismissal. Any recommendations for a local chap or chapess?
  13. I'd be very interested to hear if anybody's used any delivery services for local fruit and veg. I'd love to be able to go to the Horniman market for my produce, but I can never make it on Saturday morning.
  14. I have the joys of a "more complicated than I'd like to handle" self assessment tax return this year, and would like recommendations for a local tax accountant who can handle it for me, any recommendations?
  15. Likewise, can you forward them to me too please
  16. I searched the forums a while ago looking for a recommended plasterer to no avail, so went hunting for one through a locally recommended builder instead. Jack (07877 805665 / [email protected]) came out to my flat on relatively short notice, and did a fantastic (and quick!) job of plastering the space left by the removal of an old electric fireplace. I cannot recommend him highly enough, and will definitely be using him again in the future myself.
  17. Paul Smith works out of East Dulwich, Streatham, and Battersea. I've used him countless times for sports massage and couldn't recommend him enough. [email protected] 07711545155
  18. Forest hill pool is fairly reasonable for a membership - I signed up for a single month for around ?34, but if you sign up for several months at once the prices come down quite quickly and I seem to recall a 6 month membership works out to be ?20-odd per month, which is pretty decent for an unlimited swimming membership.
  19. I watched "Taken" last night for the first time in a long time and forgot how entertaining the film is. The fact it isn't a remake or a sequel certainly helps.
