  1. When you consider all that open space at the side of the station where the bus stops are, I fail to see why they can't extend the booking hall further back that direction.

  3. What about summer barbeques and bonfire night?
  4. The station coffee shop wanted ?1.60 for a SMALL tea. I went back to the hospital shop were all sizes, small medium or a large cup of tea all cost the same price of 90p.
  5. Oh no. Let's hope they're not going to convert it to burial space!!! That wouldn't surprise me knowing Southwark Council, seeing they are desperate for burial space in the borough. They've already taken space from Honor Oak recreation ground and now that's full it won't be too long before they take the rest. Where would we be without our lovely green parks that positively make this area such a delight to live in.

But that would require a radical overview and new timetable, something that will take time and disrupt the network. Meanwhile where will these train divert to?

Looking at these up to date figures, it makes you wonder how they pass the annual fire and safety checks. I wonder if these latest figures have been revealed. I'm surprised it isn't in breach of fire regulations. Why are Thameslink putting commuters lives at risk?
  9. Another problem occurs when disabled people in wheelchairs and mothers with prams, cannot leave the lifts because of the overcrowding in the gangways. Considering this station is heavily served by commuters attending Kings College hospital with appointments starting during the rush hour, this is yet another reason why an additional exit is required. Just what will it take for another exit to be introduced to this station? A fire, a stampede, causing loss of life and injuries?!!! It's just as well there is a hospital across the road.
  10. I would like to suggest that commuters take photos and videos on their mobiles, the next time all the gangways are clogged up as they exit the station. Send your photos or preferably video recordings, to Harriet Harmen MP. She wrote a letter in Spring to Thameslink re. Overcrowding and late arrivals of trains at this station, however I believe that this death trap of a station needs another exit with more barriers to ease the congestion. If there were a fire at this station, there would be another Hillsborough.

Forest Hill and Honor oak Park both had addition barriers put in due to overcrowding. However both of these stations belong to LT Overground. How very shortsighted of Thameslink or the previous owners who were dealing with the station up-grades, not to include a second entrance/exit. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realise another exit is required. Will it require a stampede, resulting in deaths, before anyone takes any notice of what's happening at Denmark Hill?
  12. I arrived there this morning at 9.00am, unbelievable!!! Denmark Hill is an accident waiting to happen, the station is a DEATH TRAP. There are not enough exits. It took over ten minutes to leave the station as all sections to the ONE and ONLY exit were completely full this morning, as commuters from most of the platforms filled all the gangways to the exit. There were commuters also trying to come in and make their way down to the platforms. The station needs another exit, preferably one that allows the short-cut to Kings Cross hospital, where the temporary one was, whilst the station was under construction some time back. This station with 4 busy platforms is a death trap, goodness knows how anyone with a disability would cope, considering many use this station for access to Kings college hospital.

  14. The problem is, by re-naming the park, 'Dulwich' etc..., would the residents of Dulwich really wish to be associated with the people of Peckham.
