Hi all, We’re former East Dulwich (Dunstan’s road, then Mundania) residents who now live in Los Osos, Ca. We’re looking for a house swap in SE London for 2 weeks in July. A bit about us- We have three boys-2 born at Kings. We’re both educators, I’m a SEN teacher and my husband is head of a middle school. My husband is from Bromley, and we’ll be back to see his family and friends. First time for me since pre Covid, would love to be in the old neighborhood with the boys. About the house-3 bed/2 bath. Classic Modern 1970’s beach house. Residential neighborhood, water and Mountain View’s throughout. Here’s the link from when we bought it: https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/1338-14th-St-Los-Osos-CA-93402/15418171_zpid/?utm_campaign=iosappmessage&utm_medium=referral&utm_source=txtshare It’s decorated very differently now. It does have steep balconies, but we have ways of childproofing them. Currently set up with 2 twin beds in one room, king in the front room (with ocean views), and a third smaller room with another twin bed. The area- Los Osos is my favorite place on Earth-it has a million things to do with young kids. Los Osos is half way between LA and SF but not close to either. It’s on an estuary, so you have ever changing tides. It’s surrounded by a state park, Morro Bay-which is a cute little fishing village, San Luis Obispo-a college town, and 30 minutes from some of the best wineries in California. You’re an hour from Big Sur. It’s really a special spot, and the house is walking distance from a playground, the bay, a coffee shop, deli, and beer/wine bar.

This may be a bit of a longshot but I was at the Dulwich Featival 2 years back and there was a woman there who made the most gorgeous cakes. She was heavily pregnant at the time. Wondering if anyone has any clue who she was? Thanks!

Recommendations on a cat sitter to feed my cat over Christmas
Jessie6564 replied to lkkc's topic in Request a Tradesperson
We have been using Tina Welsh for over a year now and we frequently travel overseas. She is great with short notice and being flexible and comes 2x a day for a very reasonable price, I also completely trust her to be in our home and with our very skittish cat. Her number is 02086994026. PM for her cell if you can't get in touch with her on that number. -
New Hairdressing Salon in East Dulwich
Jessie6564 replied to THE GALLEON's topic in Request a Tradesperson
Just wanted to post in support of this business. I had my second visit to the Galleon yesterday and had a very positive experience. I originally went in shortly after they opened for a trim and they did a great job on my long hair. Yesterday I went back in for a highlight with Chloe and she did an amazing job. Not only did they fit me in at the last minute, but Chloe managed to somehow work within my time frame, give me a great blow dry and most importantly did an incredible job highlighting/low-lighting my hair. She listened to what I wanted while offering her professional opinion and the end result came out great! I really could not be more pleased with the colour and service I recieved. The price was also extremely reasonable in comparison to other local salons. Great job, great customer service, excellent location and a beautiful atmosphere; so glad they're in the neighborhood! -
Hi there, I'm looking for someone to build a custom changing table tray for a piece of furniture we own. I found something similar to what I'm looking for online but I need something that is higher on one side. I've attached a picture. I won't need it painted as I would like to get special non toxic paint for it myself. Please let me know if this is something that you could do and how much you would charge or if you have a recommendation for someone who could do it. Thank you!

Winter babies club (due Dec 2013, Jan/ Feb 2014)
Jessie6564 replied to tarafitness's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Hi Ladies, I was browsing the posts and if you are meeting up I would love to join you. I'm due the end of November so I'm just in between Autumn and Winter groups. I'm a first timer and would love to meet some other Mums in the area as I'm relatively new in ED and all my family/close friends are in the states. -
I'm also new to the area, and although I've been a frequent visitor to East Dulwich over the last few years, I have just moved here permanently from California. I'm 27 and would love to meet some new people. Let me know if I can join you all! Anywhere in ED is just fine for me! Jessie

Hi There! I just moved to East Dulwich from California and was wondering if I could join your book club? I need to meet some new people and I love a good book. Is it a members only kind of thing or is it ok if I show up? Thanks Jessie
