  1. Just wanted to add our recommedation of Terry if you are looking for an electrician. He fitted in an appointment quickly, was honest about the size of the job (small as it turned out thank goodness!) and very fairly priced.
  2. Thank you everyone - that's really helpful. I've flagged this thread to my friend so she may chip in with more questions!
  3. Hoping a few people might be able to offer some insight... A friend of mine who has moved into the area has just told me that she is pregnant with her second child and wandered what I knew about King's College Hospital. I have to admit I've had some brilliant and not so brilliant experiences there, but nothing to do with the maternity ward - so I said I'd ask here! If anyone could offer up any experiences I (and she) would be most grateful.
  4. I'll second DulwichBorn&Bred's recommendation. I had a blast at Monday's class. Hoping to make it through the next one without collapsing!
  5. Great! I will see you there. Better go and get reading...
  6. Hey Laura - sorry, I'm out that evening (at a country music concert no less - eeeek!) hope to catch you before you leave. S
  7. You lot are up early. My black out blind went up yesterday and I've just woken up! Glad to hear the baton has been successfully passed ellejay. See you next time, when I shall endeavour to eat more than toast before arriving and not accept a double whisky from the nice gentleman at the bar.
  8. In the back room in the alcove. Random people are in our space. I'll get them to move when people start showing up!
  9. Hope everyone's going to brave the elements and still come along this evening. I'm currently debating whether snow boots are really acceptable in the EDT on a Saturday night. Probably not, but I'll be wearing them in any case! See you there Sarah
  10. Additional space now reserved at EDT so the more the merrier.
  11. Great! Must ring EDT and up the numbers expected :-)
  12. Right! I'm organised now (finally) and have booked some space at the EDT from 7.30 on Saturday 19th under my name, Sarah. From the responses here and the PMs I've had, sounds like it should be a good sized group. I'll be there on time, please don't leave me sitting on a massive table like a loner :-)
  13. Sounds fun Jason, I'll see if anyone fancies it when we meet on the 19th.
  14. I'd like to come too if that's OK, probably best to start in February now...
  15. Definitely planning for the evening, probably the EDT unless anyone else has a better idea. Great - well there should be three of us at least. Everyone else reply here or PM me at some point so I can get a better idea of numbers/how much space to reserve.
  16. I did, rashly, offer to organise something on 19 January. Is there still interest or is everyone 'dryathlon-ing'?
  17. I can't do anything this side of Christmas, unfortunately, but I'm happy to take on organisational duties if anyone fancies banishing the January blues in the EDT - say the 19th? Go on... the willpower to detox will have worn out by then. let me know if there are any takers.
  18. Good idea. I could easily make it to Waterloo then run/shuffle/crawl home - have registered my interest.
  19. OK - I had planned to suggest another date for Saturday night drinks/table dancing/'cheesy rings' password fun, but I've failed miserably and now due to moving home won't really be near ED until after Christmas. However! Would anyone like to rescue me from box packing hell and join me for a late afternoon/early evening drink tomorrow? Please say yes and save me from disappearing under bubble wrap :-) Sarah
