  1. Am not worried whether he goes by his first name, or his last name (that is his business, not mine - or anyone elses really) - his work is immaculate - I look forward to hiring him again!
  2. What a professional! This guy is the bomb - turned up on the days he said he would, advised us beautifully towards what we should fit in our kitchen, and then proceeded to do a sensational job! http://www.noelsdesign.co.uk/ Noel came and undertook the tiling of our kitchen, and refitting of our small guest toilet and the results are incredible - we LOVE it! He is such a perfectionist, and as he said to me, 'I would never expect a client to accept work that I wouldn't accept' - which is testament to his professional and experienced approach to his work. We highly, highly recommend him and look forward to working with him again soon. We have a bathroom yet to go - and he will absolutely be our first port of call. Thank you Noel!
  3. Ladybirds are lucky! I would love it if they came for a winter visit. :)
  4. I got the boob lady in Sydenham a couple of weeks ago. I have to say when i saw jer and told her no she actee a bit crazy and started tugging my arm and crying her eyes out. I felt awful so gave her some dosh. More fool me :(
  5. Oh my pleasure - ours are the same, so totally understand. I do hope you get yours back, I would normally triple check everything myself too so don't really get how you can pick up the wrong one, but anyway! Good luck, hope it finds it's rightful home! :)
  6. Hi Al&Em, if you can't find it then I have a red Ozboz scooter your little man can have. My little boy just can't get into it - he prefers his bike with trainer wheels. It's not new, but you are welcome to it as a replacement if necessary.
  7. Going to sound very odd, but bear with me here. Cabbage leaves. I kid you not - the cold compress helps to reduce inflammation, and in turn draws the mastitis out. The best ones are the savoy cabbage, cut the stalk out and place them under your bra, against the skin, wrapped under and over your breast - Might sound like an old wives tale, but I absolutely promise it works. My best friend thought i'd gone completely mad when I did it, and in turn suggested it to her - but don't knock it until you have tried it! We now both swear by it, and i'm not a completely crazed 'greenie', really. :) http://www.naturalnews.com/034792_mastitis_breastfeeding_natural_remedies.html# Good luck.
  8. 1) how often do you visit soft play areas with your children - Depending on the weather - once, sometimes twice a week. Not in summer. 2) what do you like about soft play - that our little chaps can get rid of all that endless energy and have a play, it's covered, lots of climbing/sliding/enjoying themselves. Locally,Beckenham Spa softplay is good for a quick stop, Gambados even better as it's so huge and monitored by staff so you can stop and have a nice cuppa while the kids run riot safely. The larger ones a little more out of town definitely the best. 3) what do you dislike about soft play - sometimes a little boisterous for the littlest ones if they are new to the bigger kids side 4) what would you consider a reasonable price for 2 hours soft play - 1 child : ?4 / 2 : ?6.
  9. We will be moving our small three bedroom house from London, SE26 6HR to Broadstairs, CT12 6BN. I already have Michael from stressfreeremovals on the EDF coming to quote - but want to get a few so that I know what is comparable, what your availability is, and cost of move for Thursday 30th of January please. I will pick the top quote from there to assist. Essentially, we would like the removalists to arrive as early as they are able to start on that day, and undertake an early move to the coast ? 8.00 am for loading if at all possible. Will obviously need 2 or 3 men and myself and my husband will be here to lend a couple of extra hands as well - I will keep everyone well fed and watered throughout the day! The van will definitely need to be a spacious Luton, or larger ? we are a 4 person family (2 small kiddies) and also have an aupair ? so essentially 5 of us. If you could let me know if it?s something you could do that would be great ? and if you can?t, do you know someone who can? I would rather give my money to a local business than the biggies. Please only PM me. Thanks!
  10. Please PM me if you offer this service? I need it for Thursday 30 Jan, and it MUST be a proper end of tenancy clean, including oven, skirting boards, windows etc etc. Two storey, three bedrooms - 2 double, 1 single. Small lounge/kitchen area and separate toilet and bathroom. I am interested in getting quotes together and then organising the right person to assist. Many thanks.
  11. Makes me think fondly of my Grampy actually - gorgeous man, and always smelt delicious! :)
  12. Hi - am looking for a man with a luton van. Best would be Friday this week, but could be weekend or early next week if you only have availability then. MUST be a Luton van, or one of those huge white vans - smaller will not work. I need some items collected from a friends garage in SE19, then to my house to drop half the things, collect some more from SE26, and then off to Eastbourne, BN21. I anticipate it to be a full day job given it's driving down to the coast to deliver to my parents. Then - if all goes well, I have another entire house move from SE26 to the North Kent coast on the final weekend in January. Please let me know if you can help, and what your costs would be?
  13. We live on Lawrie Park Avenue and love it - it's the top end of Sydenham (personally preferable to the bottom end - but that looks completely different to what it used too regardless). Close to the park for the kids/gym/picnics/fireworks/runs etc, close to Crystal Palace Triangle and it's many wonderful places to eat and various eclectic shops, Sydenham High Street is fine for popping into for bits and bobs (PFC for their fabulous turkish pide bread, sundried toms/olives/pickles at quarter of the price of the high street), and Billings the Butcher for real British meat - close to Sydenham Station, Sydenham Hill and CP Stations - overland and east london, lots of buses including night buses if you are crazy enough to need to go out late in the city, easy to get to Kent/coast for weekend breaks - and more affordable than ED for those of us families that work hard, pay our taxes and still struggle to make ends meet with two children.
  14. The largest one in London is on Blackheath, and they have a pretty spectacular one in Crystal Palace too - two sittings, so that the littleuns can be taken to bed early. We used to live near Blackheath and I can guarantee it's a complete 'mare to find parking or get too. We now live close to CP, and you are welcome to share our driveway if you cannot find parking around the park.
