  10. Just spotted a very sweet blue green budgie sitting on a car in Bellenden road. It's 13.30. If you're quick you might catch it. Have photo but it's to high res to attach here.
  11. Hi there Am looking for recommendations for a piano teacher for my six year old daughter, and possibly myself. Has anyone got anyone they'd suggest? Thanks
  12. My six year old daughter's dearly loved, rather moth eaten rabbit was dropped either by the Croxted Road Tesco's, or at the Dulwich Scout Hut on Saturday evening. We believe it fell out of our car whilst parked outside Tesco?s or when we were unpacking the car at the Dulwich Scout Hut's shortly after... It has been her favourite toy since birth, she hasn?t had a night without him, and she's rather gutted to lose him... If you know anyone that might have him or know where he might be, please get in touch. There is a reward for his safe return! They can call/text 07961 189724
  13. Hi there Just wanted to give a big recommendation for Jo, a dressmaker based in Peckham, who just transformed a number of worn out old clothes, repaired rips, shortened trousers, and basically did the jobs that have been sitting in the laundry basket for years. I actually found her through a recommendation on here, and want to return the favour by recommending her on to anyone hwo needs high quality alterations or repairs. Her number is 07950835501 C
  14. Hi guys Wondering if any of you have or know any 5 - 11 yr old kids who might be up for doing this fab science based competition? Winners of 'Mars Mission' get a place on Richer Education's Easter Science camp at Imperial College, where there are Willy Wonka style workshops involving lots of molten chocolate, and making crazy bouncing, unbreakable eggs - great fun! Applicants must imagine they are an astronaut trying to reach Mars and answer three questions about it... details here or PM me www.richereducation.co.uk/competition/
  15. Just to say the same company is doing a 10 per cent reduction for Science Workshops if you sign up before 23.59 on 10th January. They also do workshops in Robotics, and Civil Engineering, the latter are for 8-13 year olds, but the others suit 5-11 year olds. How did yours get on with the Christmas Camp? Mine loved it!
  16. Yeah shame its not local, but they used the Imperial College science labs so its all v high spec.
  17. Great. They also do Saturday classes in science and robotics there too
  18. Just wanted to say I have just signed up my daughter for the following Christmas Science camp that looks fab, is at Imperial College, and has 30 per cent off if you register before Sunday. She is at Primary school, and loves Science, but feels like she doesnt do enough of it at school - just not enough time, particualrly the experiments. This one is really hands on, you learn to make a sledge, fake snow, grow sugar crystals and stuff. She did one last term, and they did incredible experiments including touching fire, and dissecting hearts and livers! You can find out more at www.richereducation.co.uk
  19. Hi all Does anyone know a good dreemaker/alterer in the area? Thanks
  20. Just wondering if anyone can recommend one, and how much they charge an hour? Cheers
  21. Hi there. Just wondering if anyone has used Corian for kitchen surfaces, and if so what are your thoughts. We are thinking of getting white corian. also where would you recommend sourcing from in the area? Thanks very much.
  22. We are about to have our kitchen surfaces replaced, and are looking into options. Probably going to go for pure white Corian, Has anyone got experience of this, and any recmmendaitons of where to get it reasonably? Thanks
  23. Has anyone had these done well, and if so who would you recommend to do them? Thanks
  24. My daughter is similarly not yet four - ater this week, and was born 2 1/2 weeks early, so likewise only just snuck into this year group. Guess it's probably not uncommon, but do wish we could hold onto her a little longer before she starts school. Am guessing After School clubs not a good idea to start with, because of tiredness? Was contemplating a couple of days a week, as work part time. Any views on this?
  25. Whippersnappers hold Music Classes over the summer at both College Lodge, Dulwich Park and their studio at Brockwell Lido. I go with my four and two year old and we all absolutely love it! Involves dressing up (them) singing (all) drummimg (all) and lots of imaginative role play, culminating in a little disco with bubbles. They take place Tuesdays, Wednesdays at Brockwell Lido at 10.30, and Thursdays at College Lodge. www.whippersnappers.org for more details.
