  1. Just took my dog around the corner a hundred metres for the toilet and straight back home - she was desperate. Don’t shoot me!
  2. Agree that you have to be so careful dogs in this heat… but please dont judge so quickly. Its one thing if you see a dog at midday being thrown the ball endlessly, but if you see a dog en route / somewhere - You dont know if that dog was being walked to the vet for an emergency appointment.. or taken to a friend’s house that is cooler etc. And if they live in a flat, they might desperately need to be taken out for a quick pee / poo !
  3. Check out Family Feasts https://www.familyfeastslondon.com I’m sure Dani can help
  4. Looks like owner of Persepolis is opening something late summer in what was The dulwich Beer Dispensary spot… Excited about that
  5. Found Chilli & Garlic to be pretty tasty and very good value, a really welcome addition amongst the sourdough, bakeries and pub fare. Personally, I prefer smaller sized Falafel, for more crunch and lightness. And I found overall, everything lacking a bit of punch. More Chilli and Garlic, and pickles please! Maybe that’s just what I’m accustomed to. Highly recommend the falafel on Northcross Road market - amazing value, really excellent falafel, and you can really taste the care that goes into the homemade fresh pickles, sauces & salads. Having travelled extensively in the middle east & I find it a close match to the many falafel stands I have tried.
  6. Yep I would definitely advise booking Janda. It was rammed and we even had to wait a bit for our reservation.
  7. Found it a bit average unfortunately but i know others that rate it. Eat Vietnam in Deptford is an excellent Vietnamese.
  8. Tried Janda. Hits and some misses. Chicken Satay & Beef Rendang were excellent and spot on. Stir fried rice noodles (Kuay Teow) were unexpectedly swimming in a peanut sauce and sadly very overcooked. They were absolutely swamped though (assume because of the excellent recent review) so wonder if quality was affected by that… would definitely go again and try more things, menu was full of interesting sounding dishes.
  9. Guacamoles in Rye Lane market for pretty authentic Tacos Ganapati on Holly Grove has some of the best south Indian food in London - light, aromatic fresh, home style cooking - lovely location and people too. Forzawine is fun for a rooftop terrace, great view, cocktails and good small plates
  10. To be clear, a RAW whole chicken organic / free range chicken is at least £15-20 retail these days. I think its fair to expect a mark up on not just the raw wholesale produce but also on the cooking of it, and associated hospitality costs, in the location etc.
  11. Free range chickens &/ organic whole chickens are around £15-20 retail these days… Given their credentials in hospitality etc I’d assume Norbert’s has sourced decent quality chicken, wholesale. The fact they aren’t saying anything about that on the menu or website seems strange… if it were true it would help justify the price. Chicken & 2 x Chips - would work out £10.50 a head between 4… not bad if it’s decent quality chicken and seasoned well with care & skill
  12. Well many thanks are due to you then! I live right here and watching nearly every passersby stop in awe and smile bring almost as much joy as the blossom itself
  13. The original What Mother Made is in Hackney
  14. Word on the street is its going to be a Rotisserie Chicken place
  15. Happened to snap the menu yesterday- see attached
