  1. I am generally not one to have too much of a rant, but there is a large pile of junk that has been dumped on the corner of East Dulwich Grove next to the side of Oliver Bonas. At the beginning of the day it was just a mattress and washing machine, now it has become a mound of stuff trailing into the footpath. Unfortunately I haven't witnessed who is using this area as a dumping ground but I am keeping my eyes peeled!!
  2. It is permit parking on Anstey Road, but if you have a resident permit you will always find a space, however I would agree that I often use this street as a cut-through.
  3. Sorry to kill the witches pee vibe on here, but I recon the bottles which I see all the time around Crawthew Grove are in fact cooking oil. Now although I haven't taken as close a look/ smell as our Nathan here, I am pretty sure by the colour that unless someone is seriously dehydrated but peeing excessively.. (!) it's cooking oil. This is probably a local food outlet on Lordship Lane, who is not paying to dispose of the oil properly and instead thinks they can get away with dropping them to various parts of ED without being noticed. A secret camera would be an awesome idea, should anyone be keen to find out the culprit :)

Well not about a helmet in a car, maybe that's a step too far !
  5. She was infront of the cars and the car turning didn't see her.

No I mean as I said it.. a car turning right from Lordship Lane onto East Dulwich Grove cut the corner (basically turning infront of traffic turning left) and hit a lady on her bike.
  7. Although in this case it wouldn't have made a difference - a colleague of mine is currently recovering at home after being badly injured while cycling home from work. She broke 3 ribs, her collar-bone and her arm was broken in two places. Luckily she was wearing a helmet, but even just a knock from impact without wearing one is a risk.
  8. As much as I have concern for the lady's safety, I'd like to add she wasn't wearing a helmet which I think is ridiculous nowadays. Noone seems to wear them!! Is a concern for fashion more important than one's safety??
  9. Lady on bike just got knocked off by a car cutting corner at junction between Lordship Lane and East Dulwich Grove. Bike ruined but luckily the lady seems shaken, but fine. Police were in the area at the time so all details seemed to have been taken promptly.
  10. I don't think Timothy Spall lives in Honor Oak anymore - his children only do, however I believe his place is on the market for anyone who's that taken with him!!
  11. Does anyone know why some of the buildings had been demolished and why the land sits desolate? Seems like such a waste! Surely the council should use this as extra space for parking which everyone seems to struggle with on a daily basis. On a serious note, it would be good to know if there are any plans i'm unaware of...

My neighbours love it!! Dubstep was not a good move when for a birthday bash which went on til 4am a year or so ago. I got locked out my house when in midst of cleaning the next morning and had to borrow a ladder to climb over the garden fence. A neighbour was very reluctantly lend me one... if looks could kill :0/
