  1. Yedped- the first trimester was when I needed a seat the most, some days my morning sickness was so bad even having my eyes open made me feel unbearably sick. I'd much rather of had a seat from week 7 to 16 than in week 40 but I didn't want to wear the badge in the first 12 weeks as too many people I work with get on a the same train as me. In my experience people on the train were good at giving you a seat if you were visible, but getting on at ED means you are inevitably squashed up by the door. I wore a badge on those occasions so people didn't barge me! On busses there was no hope of a seat and I didn't like to ask as I was always worried I was kicking out someone else who could be in the early stages of pregnancy themselves or have an unseen disability and need a seat just as much as I did. Commuting - it's a minefield!
  2. Went there for dinner tonight and have to say I wa a little disappointed. Waited 15 mins at the bar to order drinks and then another 10 to order food. Ordered a chicken burger, but asked them to hold the chilli mayo, hubby ordered some nachos. We waited an hour for the food to arrive (a waitress too is twice that she was 'checking on our food' but actually didn't give us an update) eventually we asked for a refund to be told our food was next out. When the chicken burger turned up it has chilli mayo all over, and nachos didn't turn up at all. We again asked for a refund and we were eventually given one. Shame, as the food being served all around us looked pretty good! Maybe one to avoid until it settles in a bit...
  3. We have a megaflow (2 bathrooms & a cloakroom) and the water pressure is excellent (it feels like someone is drilling into your head, but in a a good way!) even if both showers are on at the same time. We're moving at the moment and have factored in the cost of a megaflow as having had one I now wouldn't be without it. Well worth the money.
  4. I would recomend Andy the plumber (07983688451). He fixed a sink and waste disposal for us a couple of months back and if you run a search for 'Andy the Plumber' you'll see all the other recomendations too.
  5. Andy came round to our house tonight for a blocked kitchen sink. We called him at 7:10pm, he was here by 7:50 and our sink was unblocked and waste disposal fixed within 1/2 hour. Very reasonable pricing too. Would deco recommend - thanks guys!!
  6. I did call them a number of times, they didn't answer their phone. I thought that even if you had a late license you had to keep the noise contained? It finally stopped at 12. I don't mind on a fri or sat night, but I think it's not very fair on a Thursday when people have to get up for work. We sometimes go there and it's nice the way it is! Good food and a nice atmosphere to have a drink in., hopefully this won't be a regular thing.
  7. Are playing really loud music, I didn't mind it earlier, but now it's getting a bit later I'm wondering what time it's going to stop?!
  8. We took ours down after a month ourselves and dropped it off outside the estate agents door one evening.
  9. Gigi at Heavenly Hair and Nails at the top of Lordship lane (by tile giant) does gel nails for ?20/set. She's been doing my nails for about 2 years and is lovely and always manages to fit me in.
  10. My sister is trying to organise a christening for my nephew, we have the church part sorted but we were wondering if anyone had recommendations for places to use for tea and sandwiches afterwards? We both live in East Dulwich but our homes are on the small side and wouldn't acommodate the number of people (approx 30)! Any suggestions gratefully received!
