  1. The suvey will be random reveal little and be used to fraw up plans that are unrealistic! Wonder why they bother! better they actaully did a few reapirs from time to time!!
  2. Roads and roads of problems in Southwark. Needd to get a new Council before we have a hope of change for the better.
  3. Yes, it is a major probelm in East Dulwich but nothing we can do about it as we have such a liberal bunch of councillors who won't get tough! So, we will just have to put up with it.
  4. We should let the local Councillors have a choice when placing bets on who will be the next Mayor, can't have all the money going to William Hill!
  5. Gipsy Hill is a such lovely Conservative Ward, loads of very, very nice people and hardly a bad word to be said about it. The local councillors are always out an about fighting crime. They say it is the greatest place on planet earth and very safe. They want lots and lots of security.
  6. "Shots fired" but hardly worth a mention since 20 October, 2006 16:54. Does that tell us something?
  7. It may tick all the boxes but it is still in East Dulwich and you will have to expect life to be chaotic. Best bet is avoid as any fall in property prices will hit ED hard. Lord help everyone who bought in Camberwell Grove thinking it was a quite cul-de-sac!!
  8. More road chaos!! May as well except East Dulwxih is cut off from the rest of the world for ever!!!
  9. We need and Abercrobie and Fitch, at the very least, on LL. All the carbon emissions just having to go into the West End! Now I hear they are opening a Hollisters in Piccadilly. LL?
  10. No you need them when you talk to police people they can be very touchy about things!
  11. Another example of just how much Southwark Council loves to broker chaos on our roads! The Homenase battle led to a public inquiry and all of the ruling have been ignored. Fat chance of Southwark actually caring about local residents!
  12. About time we built a new memorial for all those killed in the Iraq War. It should include a list of all those who voted for it! Change for the better and demand we build new memorials and stop fussing about old ones. Is a life more important because it has a memorial?
  13. Why didn't the local councillors save it like they did in South Camberwell?
  14. Work to street after street! We are surrounded by road works and all Southwark does is grant "maximun" allowances!!!
  15. Hope people can get to the shop. You will ahve to be in walking distance now that Southwark has decided all the road need to be up at the same time"!
  16. Gallery Road, Coldharbour Lane, Lordship Lane, Streatham High Road, Croxted Road, Camberwell Grove, and that is just the tip of the iceberg!!! Is Government trying to cut us off from public transport or just has it just got a cruel sense of humour and gets a mean laugh out of making sure we all have to get up an hour early just to try to get to work!! All three candiates for Mayor for/of London seem to think transport is an issue. Will Boris, Ken or Brian defend East Dulwich? What c"hange for the better? East Dulwich used to have three Labour Councillors, it has a Labour Assembly Member, a Green Assembly Jenny nearby and Southwark Council pretends to actually be managed and even "run" by the Liberal Socialistas and Kim Humperdernickels. Can't imagine anything will get better unless we get rid of them all! Where are the people, this may as well be East Zimbabwe!! Did I mention Camberwell Grove! Was it 6 months, a year, two years or never! How many times do we have to hear the train service is to be cut? Why can't we have a Council that actually defends us and is not afraid to stand up for the people? Why do we have to put up with one star incompetence in just about every aspect of life? Why does it take 8 years to just to replace a broken window on the Dog Kennel Hill Estate? Why to people shoot each other in Peckham? Why to we put up with life in this hell called South (Camberwell) East (Dulwich) London? Do we have a say in anything? Seems none of our elected politicans have a anything real to say and it seems far too much to ask they they are actually allowed to influence those who dicate chaos for our lives! So why should we worry about the chaos on our streets? Isn't it just the rule that we let people who tick the boxes, meet the targets and sit back on nice pensions make our life a living hell?
  17. Are we to be subjected to months and months of disruption as road works consume East Dulwich. Is this the price to pay for "biker" Thomas? Or, shoudl that be "digger" Richard? East Dulwcih may as well be cut off from the rest of the whold now that we are surrounded by 22 weeks of chaotic, ill-planned and un-managed digging. Southwark Council needs to take a stand like Lambeth and the City of Westminster and demand that these utilites cause minimum disruption.
  18. Glen, I can only assume you get paid by Southwark but don't actually work for the London Borough of Southwark? How on earth can you predict a result that goes against the decision taken by an impartial "quasi-judical" process? I am sure if you were paid by Westmister they would make sure you didn't have to put in a single hout in the name of supposed work! Athough, I could equally suggest you are just doing your job and the problem is political. What a mess. Can we ever hope Southwark will enfoce when it needs to enforce and lets logic prvail when "predictions" are clear? Thanks for the unoffical update?
