  1. Oman is better. Dubai is expensive and you'll get starred at on the beach a lot and Qatar is dull.
  2. Hi Simon - see you tomorrow morning at 11am.
  3. Hi Simon Thanks for booking - see you at 11am on Saturday. I cannot play any mid week games, so will stick to the Saturday ones.
  4. Simon - thanks again for organising. I cannot make this weekend but up for a game the following weekend, if anyone else is so keep me posted.
  5. This might get a bit complicated - why don't we stick to the 4 of us for tomorrow and go from there? I don't have a racquet and will be hiring one at the venue.
  6. It's difficult to comment without seeing the acutal agreement, but normally if you have to ask permission to install a dish then you would have to remove it at the end of your tenancy. There should be something in the contract to leave the premises in the condition it was handed over and that would have been without the dish. Seems like you are best off just getting it removed and then you will get your money back and it is neither here nor there that your current landlord didn't ask the previous tenant to remove their dish (although you may want to put something in writing that you will not be responsible for the cost of removing it at the end or during your current tenancy)
  7. Hi, we are planning to run at 11am on Sunday (weather permitting). I am recovering from a sprained wrist from tennis, so badminton will be easier on the old joints! I'm in W Dulwich, so it might be a bit more complicated but will work out a plan. Keep me posted.
  8. I'd be keen to play this Saturday (not too early though as I don't have a car and would have to make my way there via public transport!)
  9. I think Dulwich College has some badminton courts and I do not think you have to be a member to play. A friend and I are going jogging this Sunday around Dulwich Park if you are interested in joining us but I must add that we are complete beginners!!
  10. Jay - we may hold another one but probably not until the New Year.
  11. Sorry, I miss read it. I thought he said that clearly the men that didn't turn didn't miss out.
  12. Acedout - we just reserved an area in the bar and it was chosen because they did not charge us anything for the hire. There were no signs indicating that it was a singles night, so no one else would know that it was a gathering for single people, it just looked like a bunch of people having a drink. As I said, you cannot please everyone all of the time and you do not have to turn up to any of our events!
  13. It was advertised quite a lot on this forum and was organised by the Dulwich Supper Club and not Liquorish itself and was not a Facebook event. Sweetgirl, I am sorry that your friend felt the need to move on from the event but we had over 30 people turn up and the ratio was not too bad. It was all organised by us in our spare time and we did not charge for it, so I guess that we cannot please everyone all of the time and we've had a lot of positive feedback from the people who did turn up.
  14. I run the Dulwich Supper for primarily 25-45 year olds if you fancy joing that. Email me at [email protected]
  15. Why don't you open it in West Dulwich as there is a need for this type of thing and surely East Dulwich has enough cafes/bars etc? There is an empty shop where Cheeky Monkeys used to be in the parade of shops opposite Tescos on Croxted Road.
  16. Ms B - is that true about attacks at West Dulwich station? I use it all the time and hadn't heard of this - can you give some more detail?
