  1. Interesting what you say about the Lordship Pub LeeK. We live nearby and have noticed that noise levels do seem to increasing. They?re obviously doing well - and there seems to be weddings most Friday and Saturday nights at the moment. The late night discos are pretty loud and do start to get annoying in the summer months when the windows are open! Not sure there?s much that can be done though...
  2. FFS - the little one was only three months old. It seems wholly unreasonable that the Mother should be given her marching orders because her very small baby was crying. The Brick House should be ashamed of themselves. Furthermore, the owner is banging on about ?protecting his business? in response to this incident - but surely this attitude will in fact be detrimental to his business. I?m no expert in running a cafe in ED - but I suspect the Brick House will benefit from the revenue brought in by Mothers who visit with their children - particularly in the week. This attitude will only make these Mums feel unwelcome therefore turning business away.
  3. Is this thread not a bit unfair on Le Chandelier? I'm pretty sure that they don't pretend to be the best value for money coffee shop in the area... If you don't like the price of the 'large cappucino' and 'pain au chocolat'- then simply go somewhere else cheaper and stop moaning!!
  4. This has really made me laugh - a spectacular PR disaster before they've even opened their doors!!
  5. Why would this thread make you laugh? An odd response to something potentially serious.
  6. Agree with Atlanta - the rotting food left outside was utterly rancid. Tha fact that they can't even be bothered to clear it up really does say something about the quality of the establishment!!
  7. We also recommend Niko. Sorted out a problem at short notice and also a very nice guy.
  8. We live nearby and the music is rather annoying (and loud!). Also, it would have been nice if the management had cleared up the pub's rubbish which had been strewn across Pellatt Road for most of last week. I know there have been numerous threads on The Patch - but things have gone very quiet recently. Is this definitely going ahead?
  9. TonyQuinn - I totally agree with you. A few individuals have come out with some very bizarre comments on this thread.
  10. That's awful. Poor form indeed - don't speak I'll of the dead.
  11. I would also recommend Alan. He was really nice and helpful chap and did a great job without any mess!
  12. I absolutely agree with ontheedge. It seems rather unreasonable (and spiteful!) to post this thread before you've even taken up the matter with the Dulwich DIY staff. I'm sure it was nothing more than an innocent error. If they reimburse your card tomorrow then you should make it clear on the forum so not to do any further damage to their business! Every time I have been in that shop the staff have been nothing but friendly and helpful.
  13. We live very near The Mag and it has always been a quiet establishment. Tonight however they are playing bad 80's music very loudly - and it's pretty annoying! Does anyone know if this will continue?
  14. Thanks for the update Planetslly - it was considerate of them to let their neighbours know. Sorry for sounding like a killjoy!
