  1. Dave?s just been out again to save the day. Had a massive damp patch on the wall. Water coming. Phoned him last night. He was here at 7:45am. Him and his co-worker Patrick are brilliant and so helpful. Wouldn?t use anyone else
  2. Hi - Dave at Norwood Roofing is great. Has done brilliant work on a flat I used to live in and now at our house. Professional, quick and always gives you a full guarantee for his work. http://www.norwoodroofing.co.uk/ 07412000214 02086536306
  3. Big fan of aria and his team - friendly, efficient and no nonsense. Straight up tradesmen. Unlike so many!
  4. Walking to Peckham Rye this morning, noticed that Chaz Hairdressers is in the process of becoming this: http://triobellendenroad.co.uk/ Really glad to see more new, interesting places opening up on Bellenden. But really, really object to their owners referring to them as "spaces".
  5. You can hear the cogs turning when you ask any of them a question. speedbird Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > Lots of threads on here about Fusion...all > generally very bad. 6. Yes it's particularly bad now, but it's always bad. Like I say, wouldn't mind if it was cheaper. If I was a businessman (I'm not) I would set up a decent gym somewhere in the area.

  8. Apologies in advance for the rant, but tonight was the straw that broke the camel's back. I know we've discussed gyms in the past, but I really think Fusion's gone down hill. The staff are pretty useless... there's not enough equipment to go round... The piles of weights scattered and left all over the gym floor... The water taps don't work... It smells like someone's unzipped and urinated all over the changing rooms... The groups of "lads" that whoop with delight when one of them can lift a heavy weight. Grim. I wouldn't mind if it cost something more like ?25 rather than ?48. Anyone else agree?
  9. Luckily we have a bin store, so didn't feel so bad leaving it out for collection. It got collected when the brown bin collection happened last week. But agree - bit selfish of others to dump it by the road (saw one by the crossing outside the EDT today) or in the bins of others.
  10. I'm assuming if they say on their website they don't mind collecting it if you leave it by your brown bin... then they don't mind. So I'll do that.

  12. I got a tree that I couldn't water, so it's been more or less dead for the last few days. Time to get rid, I'm afraid!
  13. Thanks - just saw it. Will leave it out with the brown bin
  14. Happy 2014 EDFers. Sorry if someone has mentioned this before but anyone know where I can get rid of my Xmas tree in the local area? Don't fancy a trek to the dump on Walworth Road, which is also shut today. Thanks.
  15. Bringing back an old thread here.. but I agree with the complaints re: Fusion. I went in last night and turned around a left. Aside from the bad changing facilities it's always so busy. Not a single cardio machine free. And the weights area is poorly managed. Have only been a member for a month but going to cancel membership and join ESPH.
  16. Sorry I'm late to the party, but I live on the corner of Maxted and I'm over the moon. Not sure my bank balance / health kick will be though...
  17. Other than the Picture Gallery what cultural/fun/off the wall activities are there to do today in East Dulwich and surrounding areas that don't include eating and drinking?! Any thoughts much appreciated.
  18. Did anyone see that Channel 4 documentary that went undercover in the Royal Mail? It was a couple of years ago. To be honest, I'm not surprised half our stuff goes missing after watching that...
  19. Bloody hell. hate to think what'd happen if she attempted a scotch egg.
  20. I couldn't bloody miss mine! Last Thursday they were. And the damn lorries were making loads and loads of noise in my area from 7am in the morning until about lunch time. Seemed to be never ending.
  21. Problem is I've been having this consistently since I moved in back in October. So I can't blame it on the postie indulging in a bit too much festive cheer... Or the temp!
  22. Glad I'm not the only one. Gadge - will look that up, thanks.
  23. I know this is going to sound like a first world problem, but I'm having serious issues with my postman. He keeps delivering my post to another property with the same number nearby. And just to make things worse, now I've started receiving other properties' post. Obviously it's great to be able to go over and meet my neighbours. But I'm starting to find it a bit frustrating. I've mentioned it politely to the postie but he's not cottoning on. Any other EDFers having the same problem?
  24. Hi all, I've heard a lot about the EDF and decided to join. One of my colleagues (also a member!) told me there might be some forum drinks soon? We're both keen to come along! Can anyone help? I've been a keen reader of the forum for some time - finally taken the plunge and now posting. Merry Christmas everyone, speak soon.
