  1. Hi there! We have got a MY CHild Sienta Duo- it is not the flashest looking buggy but, my, I have bought 3 other double buggies in the last 4 months and got rid of them straight away again- including a Phil and Teds as jsut too wide for our hallway! ! Ours is a tandem buggy and is so much shorter than all others on the market! It is not much longer than a Maclaren single- yet both kids have plenty of space in it! It also got quite a big basket underneath!I got mine on Ebay and I just LOVE it!! We live in a house with a really narrow hall and not much storage- this buggy is narrow enough to leave out and still be able to walk past comfortably! When folded it fits easily into our tiny car boot of an A Class merc! Really recommend to check it out!
  2. Hi there! I am a mother of 21 year old girl and have looked after another little girl who is 4 weeks older than her since they were 8/9 months old! They have become like sisters end love each other so much! I think for me it was the perfect solution for my own childcare needs and also because we are so flexible on times and days the family I work for really appreciates this flexibility! You pay less than for a sole charge nanny, yet you get the same service! I highly recommend to do thorough checks though as I have heard so many horror stories in my 16 years of being a nanny!! Good luck with the search! x
  3. Oh no- I wanted those for Easter!
  4. We used to wake our little girl religiously between 10.30- 11.00 and gave her a bottle- that way I could make sure how much she really drank and spot difference between a hungry cry- or just a cry for attention! Maia slept in her own room since she was 7 weeks old and would NEVER wake up before 7 am- unless she was unwell! Now she is 21 months and sleeps from 7.30 - 8.15 every night, plus 2-2,5 after lunch! I am a believer in firm routines as our little darling is just the happiest child ever and loves her sleep- day and night! Yes, children are all different, but unless you help them find a rythm they will justt be grizzly and overtired with parents completely exhausted! I am convinced that with the right structure every child can sleep 12 hours without waking! I simply dodnt understand how parents cope with broken sleep for years! Good luck! Silke(mother of 1 and nanny and sleep trainer for over 15 years)
  5. Me being Austrian- we used to have a bedtime storie about Thumb sucker(in Shock headed Peter- I think- that was not enought to make me stop as i sucked my thumb until about 13! I was made to wear mittens at night that were tied to my wrists(mind you that was more than 30 tears ago) didnt work either! Eventually I just stopped out of embarrasement- and by the way- my teeth are fine! Good luck!
  6. I can't wait to find out where the school is going to open! Our girl- 20 months is brought up bilingual- me being Austian- Daddy from New Zealand! This would be the perfect place to send her! What a great project! Silke
  7. For anyone saying" leave wild animals alone" and then mentionning that they leave food scraps out for them!! I watch a fox marking his territory in our garden- any new kids toy- may it be the sand pit or the play house is constantly sprayed!! How would you like your child playing in that!! If I see any neighbour leaving scaps out I will throw any poos or other mess they leave over the fence- YES, including the dead guinea Pig that was left once by our back door!! As you said so nicely- LEAVE THEM ALONE- DONT FEED THEM and if they dodnt find enough food they will regulate numbers naturally
  8. Reading your message I expect you to be a vegan then!!!
