  7. Yes, RSPCA phoned me back yesterday but gave no idea when they will be calling. Regarding the 'pet shop' they were purchased from, they certainly need a serious talking to. messageRe: Animal cruelty in East Dulwich?! Trapped terrapins need your help! Yes I went to see him today and he seemed genuinely kind and caring. He told me the pet shop had told him to keep them in that size tank as they adapt to their environment and so won't grow so big. He said they do get to sit on those floating logs. I said according to the Internet they need a larger tank etc and he said he would definitely do some research himself. I think he will and he is not being deliberately thoughtless and cruel.
  8. So they are going to remove them to suffer out of view? Phoned the RSPCA today, they were passing the details on to an inspector.
  9. Bless him, he looks so happy.
  10. How absolutely fantastic, was he far away and do you think he had been shut in somewhere? If only he could talk!! So happy for you, that's made my day. I've seen the posters far and wide when walking my dog, will happily take them down for you. Welcome home Cheetah! ☺🐱
  11. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Captain_Beaky_and_His_Band Sid's out there somewhere! 😀🐍
  12. Is it Sid?
  13. Please complain, things like this can not be allowed to happen, there have been quite a few cases in the press. Yes the NHS are under a great strain but this is total negligence.
  14. There is a collarless black and white whippet-type dog at the top of One Tree Hill. (Friday, 11.30am-ish) He is definitely on his own and seems quite frightened. I couldn't really get near him, but will try going back later without my own dog and with a collar and lead to try and catch him if he is still there. Edited 1 time(s). Thanks for trying SR. He didn't look as if he had been sleeping out for two nights, though. As I was discussing what to do about him with other walkers, someone from one of the houses that back on to One Tree Hill called, and he promptly ran off through the trees and disappeared through the fence. Seems as if he lives there and just pops out to play or to warn other dogs off his patch. I spent almost an hour trying to catch and help this dog. @Sheila Rose, did you ever find out which house he belonged to? Would love to know he's safe now... Last saw him last night, but he seems very disorientated and unsure of where he was etc. Not much road sense... I go to One Tree Hill most days, and haven't seen him since. I was there twice today and no sign of him so I am guessing he is safely home again. I wonder if its the same dog? Options: Reply To This Message?Quote This Message?Reply via Private Message (PM)?Follow This Thread?Report This Message messageRe: Dog on One Tree Hill -- mystery solved Posted by sheilarose January 24, 03:16AM I have just googled Spanish Bodeguero to see what they look like and yes, it could very well be the same dog. What happened about it last time, do you know? The dog probably lives in one of the houses in One Tree Close that back on to One Tree Hill. He was loose on One Tree Hill or Brenchly Gardens a few times, maybe 6 months ago. Someone posted a photo of him which is how I knew the breed. Options: Reply To This Message?Quote This Message?Reply via Private Message (PM)?Follow This Thread?Report This Message messageRe: Dog on One Tree Hill -- mystery solved Posted by sheilarose January 29, 05:30PM I found a hole in the fence which has been carefully filled in with stones, so I guess the little escape artist is, at least for now, grounded. The above are previous posts about this dog, hope you found his owner.
