Lights on East Dulwich Grove
blacklashez replied to blacklashez's topic in General ED Issues / Gossip
So I’m Aware of the timings being 8-9 and 3-4:30. As I drive through this area everyday. I was at the lights at 7::45 am. I was turning right onto East Dulwhich grove and the yellow camera flashed. Just confused -
Hi I have a question … I was driving down the village past the Hamlet school and I needed to turn right at the lights. And onto East Dulwhich Grove. Now I do this journey almost everyday. Today however as I was turning n right the red light camera on the other side of the road flashed . Now I’m confused as it was green for me to turn right . Was I supposed to wish for the green right arrow ? Or as the camera is on the other side of the road and it flashed someone else ?

Hello , I?m in a bit of a pickle and need some advice ideally from someone who has been in my position or works in the car insurance industry. A young man hit my car from behind in April of this year. It was 100% his fault and he admitted it . Now since April his car insurance have not responded to my car insurance . My insurers can see this was not my fault and gave me my loss ( my car had to be written off ). Now the problem is , my car insurance is due in a months time . This case had not been solved as his insurance company have not paid or responded. Now I?m return my renewel price had doubled ! Last year I paid ?698 and this heat they are asking for ?1298! My insurers said it?s because my case isn?t closed yet. I don?t know how to react as it was clearly not my fault! Can anyone please give me some advice ? I?m 5 months pregnant , hormonal and very angry. If anyone can help that would be great! Thankyou!

Thanks for ally our replies! There wasn't any bus in the bus lane. So here's hoping
-
Quick question , how active is the bus lane camera on the road which leads from lordship lane to Foresthill? I think it's on the A205 . It's the road that leads upto hornimans museum. I wasn't really driving in the bus lane however I had to change lanes and get Into to the left lane ( as the right lane was turning right onto Sydenham hill) and went into the bus lane a bit ( I would say a few feet before the blue sign says End OF Bus LAne" ) and am worried I'll get a penalty. Anyone have the same experience?

I wouldn't mind going via Dublin however I have a toddler with me ( who also is autistic ) so I think the less time we travel in a plane would be better .. I will look into the gay wick route. Is there any reason why flying from Gatwick is cheaper?
-
I can't seem to find a ticket less then ?750!! I'm flying out July 15th so I think that's why but it's still before the summer holidays. I used to be able to fly to NY with British Airways for ?500. I can't find anything that cheap ..:/

Okay thanks! Doesn't sound too bad.. Think I might just book with them. Do you have to pay luggage allowance or is it included?

Opinion about Townsend Montessori

I'm relatively new so don't know any of the parents really. Also, a few times when I was unhappy about something the staff seemed annoyed. I even write an email to the manager but recieved no reply... -
Hello, I currently send my child to Townsend Montessori in Foresthill bit I'm not too sure about a few things like the attitude of a some staff and mismanagement. Red flags seem to pop up now and then and I'm thinking of changing my child's nursery. Is it my imagination? Or does anyone else feel the same? Thanks!

Hi, my son 2.4 year old son has just been diagnosed with Autism. He currently goes to a nursery in Foresthill but I am not st all happy with the quality of care. Shortage of staff and staff who don't really look/ act like they care much. I want my son to go to an environment where they will help him and understand him and show a bit of care and concern. As my son is autistic he needs all the help he can get. So does anyone know of a good nursery whose staff are nature and caring and seem like they'd be helpful with my son ( I know by law each nursery has to cater to every child's needs but some nurseries have a better policy and better staff). Thanks!

Concerned toddlor is autistic..
blacklashez replied to blacklashez's topic in The Family Room Discussion
So true! I think the reason why im out of my "panic mode" is because I see that every ASd child is different and the earlier the diagnosis the better. They say Earky intervention makes a different. My son hasn't been diagnosed yet ( but I know he will be ). I've already started looking up things I can do with him at home and activities that can help him like people games and turn taking games. It really does help. I guess I just had to change my frame of mind and think "!i need to help my child " instead of " does he have autism or not". The therapist said to me " right now, don't worry about your son being autistic just concentrate on the help he needs". -

I think it would be great for moms who are going through this or have gone through this experience to stay in touch. Like a support group. When I was first told that my son might be autistic I felt so lonely and I didn't know who to talk to ( hence why I started this thread). It's so scary but talking to mothers / parents who are going through or have gone through it does make it easier. -
Concerned toddlor is autistic..
blacklashez replied to blacklashez's topic in The Family Room Discussion
It is really hard! My son has a paediatric appointment in 3 weeks time and im prepared for whatever they tell me. My son is quite vocal now and started speaking two word sentences and even a few three worded ones but his imaginary play has just started and his eye contact is great when he wants it to be . He knows all his shapes and colours and asks for everything and understands so simple instructions however the speech therapist is still implying it's autism. It's so hard . I think sometimes becaus we are with them we don't see it like how an outsider might. Feel free to private msg me and talk. I'm more then happy to talk about it . It can feel quite lonely! -

Yes I am planning to get it checked out. I have been going crazy analysing his every move. I feel like I'm going crazy! Also reading up on the Internet and watching videos is making me more anxious. I was wondering , what kind of therapy do they do to help children with autism? How does the child improve
