Urban Krav Maga draws on many years of experience in the following fighting systems as well as various styles of Krav Maga: Karate; Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Traditional Jiu Jitsu, Aikido, Boxing, Muay Thai, Vale Tudo and MMA. In Urban Krav Maga, the ?core? syllabus is based around the disciplines and techniques needed to defend the 10 most common street attacks. It also contains a range of techniques applicable to female self-defence, grappling (stand-up and on the ground), fighting/sparring techniques and weapons defences.   20. @JudithM79, it is not technically overly-challenging as Krav Maga was designed from the onset to be easily learnt and assimilated regardless of age, gender or physical aptitudes. The ground techniques we teach are particularly refined (i.e simple and efficient) thanks to the supervision of Urban Krav Maga Chief Instructor Leo Negao who's been 4-time Brasilian Jiu Jitsu world champion (he started with Gracie and Murillo Bustamante, then got his black belt under the legendary Fabio Gurgel). He was also training partner to UFC superstar Silva Anderson, so you can't get any better when it comes to ground fighting. I hope this helps,
