  1. Nice 'Unlurked', real niiiice There's a lot more pressing issues to 'how the council' spend our money - take it up on another thread. I think it would be lovely to have an xmas tree in Dulwich
  2. Thanks for your help everyone - have found someone to do the clean!
  3. Hello, I am moving out of my flat this weekend and require a professional flat clean. Has anyone used any good companies (really looking at a reasonable price for this or will conduct the clean myself). No oven/hob required to be cleaned which should reduce the price. 2 bed flat, 1 bathroom and an open kitchen/living area. Any shouts for companies would be much appreciated!
  4. Having looked at its layout i'd guess its a chip shop. The clothes shop that closed down on Melbourne Grove is now being refurb'd and also looks like a chip shop!! I may be wrong but that's my guess
  5. That was nice and helpful StraferJack. Shame to hear about your bike and thanks for making us aware. I cycle there on the odd occasion and lock it outside. 'The car park is an add-on perk you use at your own risk' - The car park is there to bring as must custom to the store as possible and to ensure people can do their entire weekly shop and put it in their car. Hardly an add-on perk and more a commercial decision from a Supermarket. CCTV in my opinion should be expected especially around the bike area otherwise this 'perk' will be less appreciated by Sainsbury's customers.
  6. i'm under the impression that the reason bars charge a minimum is due to 'lost' sales from regular punters if you were to hire it out and this is to protect them, which is fair game. But if the upstairs isn't used for regular trade and is purely for renting then this price is just driving away business. Sue, they sometimes have small bands on downstairs on the small stage, would that suffice for your event?
  7. Hi Sue, sounds like it probably is the same guy! I'd be keen to use the snooker tables so in that respect i'd still like to join. Think they need a word with the 'co-oridnator- as to how to try and attract new members/business if they still want a club in a few years.... Cora, from other posts i think the membership cost is minimal - there is a number to call but it didn't get me very far. I'd probably suggest heading down there and taking a look/speaking with someone on the day. As Toniw mentioned you can just use the facilities as they get your membership sorted.
  8. just rang up to check about membership - i've seen on other threads the club is very keen for new members/opening times (before seeing this thread). cant say i got the same feeling from the guy on the phone who couldn't wait to put the phone down. I'm keen to join because of other comments and the clubs facilities, it frustrating when the first point of contact for the club is so negative when the need for members is so high...
