  1. We both have Mercedes. Different models but they tried both of our cars! @arworld do you have a contact number to the police contact as I should probably report even though I do feel like there's not much they can really do to help. They are opportunists who strike late at night!
  2. Last night between 10-6 someone stole my wing mirror. Just the glass. Definitely theft and not vandalism as it's gone and rather neatly! It seems they were after a particular car wing mirror as they also attempted to take OH wing mirror (it was moved into a facing up position) and his car was parked on Barry road. Just posting to give people the heads up to look out for this. Though they do it while we are all probably aleep! Same thing hPpened to someone I know in the area about a fortnight ago. I wish they would get caught.
  3. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/crime/10456785/Thieves-using-fake-locksmith-stickers-to-mark-houses.html It's in the telegraph too.... There was a sticker on my mums house in Peckham. I naively thought what I great marketing idea. It's exactly where you want the locksmiths number in an emergency. Needless to say the sticker has been removed from her front door.
  4. So I have asked by many of my customers if I have the facility to accept card payments. Today someone told me I can use something call iKettle or Sumup via my tablet or smart phone. Do any of you local businesses have any experience using these facilities. Is there much difference between the two? Or is there a different option that you would recommend. I would really appreciate your help on this one. Until now I have only accepted cash or cheque payment and I think adding card payments will really help my business Thanks for taking the time to read this and I look forward to receiving your advice. Many thanks, Adelle
  5. Hello - I will be holding another recruitment morning this coming Friday 2nd August at the Victoria Inn bellenden Road. I am a captain Tortue style consultant and am looking to build a small team of ladies selling children's and ladies clothes in the home. As a captain tortue consultant you will sell the clothes in the following ways: - Clothes parties for groups of ladies in your clients home - 1-2-1 personal shopping experience - events / fundraiser at schools and local businesses The commission structure is generous. There are lots of incentives each season where you can win free clothes and earn more commission / vouchers for John Lewis etc. Then if you love it as much as I do you can build your own team to manage. Please let me know if you would like to come along so u can have an idea of numbers. Also if you pm your email address to me I can forward you an information pack to look at before Friday. Adelle x
