  1. Its on the edge of the area, but they deliver to East Dulwich and if you fancy a very reasonably priced meal it is worth the journey. Village Masaleh, family run, very friendly, excellent food, reasonably priced. I have been going in there 8 years and watched it develop from a take away into a restaurant. genuinely lovely people. One of my best friends is Indian - literally wont eat anywhere else in the area.. including the East Dulwich and Crystal Palace restaurants. 3. Hi I need help with a load of gloss painting ASAP. Not worried about qualifications, just skill (like my dad!). Anyone who would like some work and is decent at glossing give me a shout. Suit retired or unemployed with good DIY skills. Needs a good finish so please don't bother unless you are good at it! Doors, door frames and stairs to be done. Sue
  4. would like to post a recommendation for a plumber - John Powers - he has been mentioned here before. My boiler died. Had one plumber oohing and aaring on the phone. Once came and said i needed parts but he didn't have time to fix it. John came out - on time as arranged, spent 10 minutes having a look and fixed it on the spot. No parts, no problem. Did you ever expect a boiler to be fixed ON THE SPOT... what joy.. am going to get him back to do a load of bits i need on the house. highly recommended. 5. Would absolutely recommend Micky 07930678989 - Mick Lawless Plastering Services. He has replastered my whole house, room by room. He has done some of the plaster boarding (I did the easy bits) plastered the ceilings and walls, done some rendering, everything I needed. Fast and efficient, tidy, dependable, and a brilliant finish. seriously good work and ill be using him on every project I do. Cost will depend on no of days, but Micky was the cheapest quote I got and has turned out to be brilliant. Welcome to come and see his work if you want!
  6. Hi all, just wanted to make a recommendation for a great carpenter. 8. Hi, I have just had my front windows replaced by Bespoke Windows who are down the bottom of Lordship lane. they were the cheapest of the 4 quotes (big company, small company, joinery and them), the promised the fastest turnaround and then beat it. the installers were very nice and did an excellent job. they cleared up after themselves and left the windows and surrounding extremely well finished. Would highly recommend and will definitely use them again. bespokewindows.co.uk [email protected]
  9. I just had new windows fitted and wanted to recommend Bespoke Windows. They were the cheapest of 4 quotes, but had the nicest profile sash windows. The windows were so nice it convinced me to go plastic rather than wood which also halved the price. I was told a minimum of 6 weeks by the others, despite it being early January. Bespoke said 6 weeks for high season but less now, and fitted them in 3. The fitters were great. polite, neat, tidy. they put down carpet protector and cleared up after themselves. Delighted with the new windows, house is warmer and quieter. Overall an excellent service and a good price. Highly recommended. Sue
