Macbeth takes place in the heart of Peckham for one week only. You will be taken into a council estate recovering from war, where orphans have been abandoned after the conflict. You will walk through dark alley ways on the estate, attend the funeral of a king, witness brutal attacks and sit right in the way of Macbeth?s brutal and ambitious path. The Last Refuge, a unique new arts space, is the perfect location to for this intimate production. It is a dilapidated blank canvas with loading bay doors that could hold against any attack, a balcony where witches watch over you and walls are covered in sinister scrawls. Company of Shadows is working in collaboration with Peckham Shed Youth Group and The Last Refuge.
