  1. We've had some terrible service from Virgin and only recently have ended the contract because we have no broadband, phone or tv to the house for over a month and they could tell us a fix date. Virgin have signed up to a broadband code of conduct which covers this. You may be able to get out of it for low broadband speeds. Good luck!
  2. Hello, I am due 12 February with my first child. Keen to make some new friends locall so do get in touch if you want to grab a coffee (or herbal tea!) :)
  3. Also on Barry road with no TV/Broadband or Phone for over a week now. Basically the council cut a tree down (towards the library) and cut through the cable. Virgin need to come and repair it but seems to be a delay in getting someone out (also given the 29th). While they advertise the best sporting weeks ever - we can't watch it. It is just one of these things but annoying waiting!! The communication from Virgin has been poor.
  4. I was with DMC when I first moved to East Dulwich and experienced the same terrible system and really poor service. I had one terrible experience with a member of the medical staff which made me make a formal complaint and leave that day. I moved to another local practice who are fantastic and offer a really family-friendly surgery. I can make an appointment most of the time, the reception staff are respectful and happy to help and the Dr's are great. I would urge anyone who is frustrated to register with a new surgery. It doesn't need to be a battle every time you need to see a Dr. Of course there are always busy times of the year but DMC is broken on every level and by the sounds of it continues to be that way year after year.
  5. Hi all, I only just saw this post but keen to meet some new people in the local area. Would anyone be interested in coffee or brunch one weekend before Xmas? Thanks bridget
  6. My partner and I have used zip car for about 4 years. We don't use it that often but when we want to go on short trip or do shopping for big furniture. The only problem as said above is knowing the exact time you need the car for. You can extend your trip while out though which works great. If you want extra insurance, to completely remove the excess it is ?14.95 a month but you can add this on and off depending on when you're using it. If you do the maths, it's much cheaper than owning a car!
  7. Sorry to hear about your burglary. Which end of Barry Road was it? I live on the street and would also be keen to join a neighborhood watch group. Does anyone have any details?
