Hi guys After a bit of a hiatus i am pleased to announce that Southern Breeze skateshop skate lessons are back for the summer holidays! Build confidence / Make new friends / Learn new skills. I am a skateboarder with 15 plus years experience on the board and 3 years experience as a youth worker. I am interested in the idea of holding skate lessons in Peckham Rye and Telegraph Hill Skateparks. Whether young or old learning to skateboard is a worthy pursuit teaching good life lessons in practice and reward. All ages welcome. Hi I am currently in the process of opening Southern Breeze skateboard shop & Gallery in Peckham / East Dulwich area. I would like to see the amount of interest this would generate on EDT. Southern Breeze will aspire to support and guide the local community. Through mentor schemes, where by older teens will mentor younger new skaters, this will build confidence in the new skaters and will provide older skaters with additional skills for their CVs. Local kids will also be encouraged to make their own skate videos which they can screen these within the shop. I feel that there is a massive gap in the market in South East London for a skateshop (nearest one being in Covent Garden) Peckham and Dulwich has a flourishing skate scene and a shop in the area will help nourish this. This skateboard shop would be more than just a shop it would also be a gallery where local artist and musicians could showcase there work.
