  1. Join CoolTan Arts Coolwalks for a FREE PUBLIC Walk for health & wellbeing, exploring interesting characters and the eccentric architecture of Dulwich. Learn new things, make friends, get fit and have fun. THURSDAY, 28th AUGUST from 12.30pm to approximately 3.00 pm. Start: DULWICH LIBRARY, 368 Lordship Lane, London SE22 8NB Bus: 12, 40, 176, 185, 197 End: BROCKWELL PARK, Norwood Road, London SE24 9BJ Bus: 2, 3, 37, 57,68, 196, 322, 432, 468 Rail: Herne Hill Tube: Brixton The walk is approximately 4 miles and we would ask participants to wear sensible walking footwear and to bring plenty of water, sun cream and sun hat. There will be an opportunity to stop for something to eat about halfway through so please bring a packed lunch or some money for sandwiches. Participants can leave the walk at any point.   2. Join CoolTan Arts CoolWalks: a free, guided Walk for mental wellbeing and to learn new things; make friends, get fit and have fun. Our theme for this CoolWalk is Fun and Fresh Air ? A Walk for Adult Learners Week. Come and explore historical Bermondsey with us. We will meet at Blue Anchor Library, Market Place, Southwark Park Road, London SE16 3UQ (Buses 1, P12, 381 Tube: Bermondsey) on FRIDAY, 20th JUNE at 12.30 pm and finish at approximately 4.00 pm. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring some water. There will also be a refreshment stop so please bring something to eat with you; alternatively you can buy something along the route. You are free to leave the walk at any point, just let one of the Walk leaders know. Everyone is welcome, just turn up on the day by 12.30 pm. Explore Kennington and the surrounding area?s links to revolution, rebellion and alternative communities. We will meet at Brandon Library, Maddock Way, Cooks Road, London SE17 3NH (Buses P5, 36, 185, 436 Tube: Kennington) on SATURDAY, 3rd May at 12.30 pm and finish at approximately 3.30 pm. Please wear comfortable shoes and bring some water. There will also be a refreshment stop so please bring something to eat with you; alternatively you can buy something along the route. We have a free public walk which we are running in collaboration with Southwark Libraries and Southwark Public Health NHS and we would be very grateful if you would add this to your listings: Join CoolTan Arts CoolWalks for a FREE PUBLIC Walk for physical and mental health and wellbeing. Just turn up and join in. Starting from East Street Library we will be exploring the Regeneration & Transformation of Walworth and Kennington including 19th century gentrified terraces, the 20th century Heygate estate and a 21st century conversion of an old Water Tower together with the newly completed ?8M transformation of Burgess Park ? the largest park in Southwark and finishing at the Imperial War Museum. Go at your own pace, relax, learn new things, make friends, get fit and have fun. THURSDAY, 12th SEPTEMBER from 12 noon to approximately 3.00 pm. Start: EAST STREET LIBRARY, 168-170 Old Kent Road, London SE1 5TY Bus: 21, 42, 53, 63, 172, 453 Train and Tube: Elephant & Castle (but then you need to get buses down the Old Kent Rd) End: IMPERIAL WAR MUSEUM Bus: 1, 3, 12, 45, 53, 59, 63, 68, 100, 159, 168, 171, 172, 176, 188, 344, 360, 453, C10 Tube: Lambeth North The walk is approximately 4 miles and we would ask participants to wear sensible footwear and to bring plenty of water, sun cream and sun hat.   5. Be part of the Coolwalks project in association with CoolTan Arts and Southwark Libraries. If you are interested in local history, love uncovering new facts, sharing stories and discovering hidden history help us to research, write and produce accurate copy for maps about community walks based around libraries in Southwark, South London. The libraries are East Street, Dulwich, Kingswood and Nunhead. Meetings generally take place on Mondays from 10 am to 12 noon and Thursday from 10 am to 2 pm, although it is not necessary to attend all the meetings. It would, however, be a useful bonus if you lived in Southwark. We welcome volunteers with disabilities. Please let us know your access requirements.
