  1. Hi everyone, my left airpod (white, Apple, standard) dropped out of my ear last week (15th). It was only a few months old :( If anyone finds one that could be it, let me know? Hope everyone is well. V
  2. Hi everyone, I?m looking for a novice running buddy to help me get fit again! Maybe 3-4 times a week outside working hours in North or West Dulwich (East fine too). I warn you, I?m not fit, I used to be two years ago, expect to be a real puffmonster at first, but I?m hoping you will be at a similar level and we?ll give each other some motivation! I?d love to be more active and healthy (and lose those COVID pounds). Maybe the odd glass of wine or coffee afterwards too! Let me know if of interest.
  3. Hi Sue, I don't have the contact details for the buyers so can't ask. Sadly, I think I'll leave it - time is running out and very busy with the move, plus if it's the wrong time of year I'm worried I'll ruin perfectly good plants for nothing or leave the garden looking patchy. Thanks everyone for your advice and, next time, I'll start planning this sort of thing differently!
  4. Thanks Sue, maybe you are right. I spent thousands of pounds on plants over the last seven years and didn't want it to go to waste completely - plus I thought I could save some ?? in the future if I took some with me - plus worried they might die with new owners moving in if they're less interested in gardening! I'll look at the websites and take a view if trying to take any cuttings is sensible. Thanks for the best wishes for the move - very stressful!
  5. Hi PlantPower and Sue - really good advice, thanks. I'll have a look at both sites whether I secure a gardener or not. Thanks!
  6. Hello, I'm flexible as I don't want to damage them or do the work unnecessarily. There are hydrangeas, baby sage, ferns, rose, jasmine, heuchera, fuchsia and a lot more. I wanted the gardener/expert to give me a view and then I'd pick the ones that might survive and take only those to the new house.
  7. 3 June: Hello, I live in central ED and am looking for a good, experienced gardener to come in the next few days to clear, weed, and most importantly prepare cuttings for me to take to my next house (also in Dulwich). (House move imminent and booked gardener not responding, hence the urgency.) Will also need a regular gardener longer-term so if this first visit works out it could lead to regular work. Please reply if you are available, experienced in cuttings and ready! No symptoms and can follow all social distancing measures. Thank you.
  8. I booked for Walid to come twice, taking time off work each time and rushing around to be at home. He didn't turn up either time and there was no contact or message to let me know. I had to chase him hours into the agreed slot and then he responded, but there was no apology, nothing. I understand people get busy or held up but contacting your customers is essential - not to mention courteous. Other busy people, beware!

  10. Contact Celia Hammond Lewisham or Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. They will help. New regulations came into force last year that only charities and licensed sellers etc. can sell animals - and that with certain legislation. Most owners who want to pass on their kittens, puppies and so on are lovely and responsible in the way they treat the animals and in who they decide to give their animals to - but still too many instances of neglect and cruelty are being reported - the shelters are full to the brim of these poor animals. So sites like this are being more careful. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/animal-welfare-boosted-by-new-law-coming-into-force
  11. Hi there, my account has been blocked - not sure why. I don't use the EDF very often but I did want to post a couple of items this week. I tried attaching images to draft posts but nothing happened and then I got a message stating that my account has been blocked. Can you help? A huge thanks in advance....
  12. Hi there. I?m interested but I?m in ED and would find Friday afternoons difficult. If she could manage Thursdays in ED (10 min bus ride) then please PM me! Thanks so much.
  13. I heard that reporting a dog will show up when you try to sell your property (i.e. that you reported a noise issue) and it could be a deterrent for buyers. I hope you find who is responsible and they either train their dog to stop barking (it's possible), get a dog-sitter, or take their dog out with them more. Good luck.
  14. Hi, having grown up on home-cooked Indian food I am always interested to see what the Indian restaurants in London are like. In my opinion, there are too many in Dulwich and some aren't great - bland and not high quality. However, two stand out from the crowd for me, and that is JAFLONG TANDOORI (not the Jaflong on Lordship Lane, but the one near Goose Green roundabout at 42 East Dulwich Road). Really delicious, a varied menu and friendly, authentic service. We have our monthly book club here and I've never been disappointed. I also like TANDOORI NIGHTS on Lordship Lane - inventive, interesting menu and very respectful staff. A bit pricier, but elegant. The fact I'm now getting the odd delivery from JAFLONG, in addition to our regular meetings there, is testimony to their yummy food I guess!
  15. Hi all, just had my first experience with Nath Solicitors. A little hesitant at first because it was a small job, but then she must have had a rethink as she called back, a lot more constructive and gave some good advice. Good luck!
