going on a 9hr flight with a 14 month old.......
hernehillisabel replied to sweetgirl's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I just got back from a 5 hour flight away with son who is 13 months he had Terrible ear infections because of the ears popping (I breast fed on landing and takeoff) because of all the altitude change so be well stocked up on that! A lady lent me her ipad and on bbc iplayer we downloaded lots of episodes of fire man Sam and mr tumble etc I also took books, crisps Pringles (as a treat) and I took cups, the lovely air hostesses let him run up and down the isle and there was a space at the back where we played cars and stacked cups and sat for about an hour - overall it was abit too much excitement so he slept 4 hours / 5 each way (off peak nap time too) so I think he understood ! -
I'm looking to go away with my husband and child, who is 1 can walk etc, so active. Any ideas of where to go in England or Scotland ? I would love the sea side ! But don't know where don't want anything over crowded, was thinking alton towers or something? - no idea Help please!

EAST DULWICH FORUM APP - how long can we wait?
hernehillisabel replied to hernehillisabel's topic in The Lounge
Requesting an app for smart phones and tablets - I use my iPhone to view site and I always have to zoom in and it's annoying - I don't think it would leave anyone out just make it easier to use and post for people who are on the go rather than computer/ laptop access I think it should be accessible for both? Just seeing what people thought, and yes not everyone knows what an app is but most people do - I just think site is easy on a computer or laptop and maybe more difficult on mobile/ tablet? Interesting to see arguments for and against -
Could someone start a petition or make one or something! Everyone uses iPhones etc these days - an app would be amazing Agree! Disagree?

Soft Play Areas ? Reviews please!
hernehillisabel replied to hernehillisabel's topic in The Family Room Discussion
Thank you ! Will be trying all that are suggested! -
My son is now 1 but acts like a toddler, he walks, runs, climbs talks and is absolutely wild. Anyway for his birthday we took him to GODSTONE farm and they had an amazing soft play area for toddlers I was wondering if anyone had tried any in the area? I've heard of Brixton Wreck but I wanted reviews, can someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks :)

sing and sign class useful?
hernehillisabel replied to dreamaholic's topic in The Family Room Discussion
I bought 'its signing time' on amazon with two signing ladies, it's AMAZING. I also paid for a 10 week ?75 signing course which has nothing on the DVD, my son loves to watch it and it involves lots of farm animals for him to see, althought I'm anti tv he loves it and he's started to pick up the signs, it's song about baby life etc and is amazing its about ?12 or something on amazon Suggestion xxx
