Anytime I see 'Village' in a city place name I know it's going to be an area where the majority care more about the value of their house then whether their own family members live or die, and avoid.

We are verging close to a Dulwich Taliban with some of the points on this thread.

common sense dictates that nappy changing is something for the restroom, hence the prevalence of 'nappy changing facilities' therin, and not on the end of restaurant tables.

NB If you're going to kick a dog into a road you need a good pair of boots.

I used to live in the old Matlock Pub across from the entrance to those. Used to go quite far in at night armed only with a marine torch. Pertrifying. I think there's a visitor's centre / lights in them now.

In terms of actual percentages, the majority of those figures have a negligible difference. Certainly not significant to warrant the cacophony of snobbish tutting on here.

the violence against the person figure is considerably higher, though as I imagine the majority of you don't run in gangs or live on a sink estate then your chances of that happening are diminished anyway.

If there were some village stocks in the centre of ED for these kind of lapses in decorum it would make it easier to shame wrongdoers and people who act suspiciously.

I've been on the phone to someone or other at the council all morning about it, I advise you to do the same.

Children shouldn't be in bars or eateries.

The Gowlett. Has the added bonus of technically not being in ED.

Wishing Well and Prince Albert on Bellenden Road both have them too.

As for ED, the Uplands might have one, but they're thin on the ground.
