  1. Hi there, We had something similar but we didn't know the owner. My husband went on the Southwark council's website and he searched a link to report an abandoned car. Few days later the person went to rescue it and moved it. It was annoying as it was there for over a month as well.
  2. Sorry to hear about this too. I was at East Dulwich station last night around 7.30-8 and the local police were giving out flyers for females. It was nice actually seeing police around on foot for once.
  3. I had my wedding in East Dulwich on August 2nd and Liam Bergin did our photography. We first had an engagement shoot, which really helped us learn about how to be in front of the camera. Liam is local, he is friendly, approachable and really helped to put us at ease in both the engagement shoot and at the wedding itself. From the engagement pictures alone I am astounded at how lovely he has made me and my partner look in the surroundings. We have had a few teaser photos from our wedding and really looking forward to seeing them. Highly recommended! Www.liambergin.com
  4. I have just updated the contact details and there is a Facebook page that you can view her work. Thanks Jem again for making our wedding special and how we wanted it!
  5. My wife and I got married at the Plough on 2nd August 2014. We got in contact with Jem, after seeing her post, asking for experience working with weddings or celebrations. From the very beginning, Jem was amazing. Understanding exactly what we wanted, even to the point where she was helping with the creative direction of the overall wedding. Jem held our hands throughout months of deciding on flowers for our big day. She got up early on a Saturday morning to take us to Vaushall flower market, and on the weekend of our wedding, was up all night making sure everything was perfect. My wife and I were very lucky to work with Jem for our wedding, and we would wholeheartedly recommend Jem as someone you should work with, if you're looking for a florist in the local area. To get in contact with Jem, email [email protected], check the Facebook page: Facebook.com/floraljems or call 07775108594
  6. The Plough do a great quiz on Thursdays 8pm. Jason the quizmaster is excellent and very funny! He was even our toastmaster at our wedding. Highly recommended :-)
  7. The Plough is my local pub and I love it there!- So much that myself and my now husband wanted our wedding reception there too. The Plough were so accommodating to our needs. Great communication throughout helped with our planning. We went to a tasting session also and loved every single plate offered. We were able to decorate it to how we wanted it - we even got Rae to help us with our chalkboard decoration which we absolutely loved!- and on the day itself, Brian and the team coordinated seamlessly. Food was ready on time, clear-up was done efficiently to convert the area to a dance floor for the evening party. Evening food was delicious too and even at the end of the night the staff were at hand to help clear up so that my husband and I didn't have so much to do the next morning. It was such a memorable day and night and I have to thank Brian, Rae and the team for helping us to achieve an awesome wedding. Thank you! I'll see you guys back after our honeymoon for our usual pints and wasabi peas! :D
  8. Just went to the Beauty Haven for the first time this evening. Really easy to make an appointment over the phone- really accommodating as I was able to have my appointment earlier then originally requested. Had a waxing and it was soooo quick! (thank goodness!) They were able also give me advice about having a manicure for my wedding in August- I have terrible nails and never had my nails done before- and now able to book a session for me and my bridesmaids. Really looking forward to it! Big thumbs-up!
  9. Great - I'll check out both. Thanks again @Peckhamgatecrasher and @lorraineliyanage.
  10. My wedding is coming up in the next few months, and I've bought my groomsmen matching hip flasks. However I'd like them to be engraved with their initials or name and the date of the wedding. Does anyone know of any businesses who do engraving - relatively cheaply, as we're on a budget - in East Dulwich? Thanks so much.
  11. Hey, thanks for that. I'll PM you back now. Cheers
  12. Yeah - go for it. Mr Lush - feel free to PM us - we'd love to have a chat. Cheers
  13. Aaah, thanks for that anyway. Funnily enough, we're trying to think of our 'first-dance song' which is special for us, and probably will opt for 'My Sharona' by the Knack. Not really a soft and tender / lovey one, but hey, it's a whole lot of fun. Cheers
  14. Hi there, My girlfriend and I are to be married in August next year. With all of our plans going ' full-steam ahead', we're looking to find a great DJ (preferably local) to play at our wedding reception. We want it to be someone who regularly plays old / new Indie, mod, soul, ska and 2-tone kind of stuff. Does anyone know of anyone who fits the bill? Cheers,
  15. Hi there, I'm looking for someone to have a hit with around the ED area. Of a good/advanced standard, so looking someone of a similar level. Hopefully speak soon. Cheers, Jonny
