  1. I only special in cats, but this person here specialises in dogs! Ginny sounds great. She's promoting her dog walking services, but perhaps she can assist you or recommend someone who can visit? The link to her post is here; http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1169772 ~ Good luck! 2. If this all happens to be true, it doesn't sound like the situation is being dealt with properly at all. & I think it's completely inappropriate for children of such a young age to be so easily exposed to such a thing. Shame on this school if this does happen to be true, they are aware of what's taking place on their premises & are not doing anything about it. ...I'd be traumatized & wouldn't want to go back to at least that school either! Angusvanfrehley I do find your second post a tad bit frustrating. It would be nice if you actually responded to some of the questions you have gotten from making this post rather than escalate something that may or may not even be true... Just a thought.
  3. I'd like to know why my message was removed from this thread?? ''& with all due respect, Pickle, you do not know for sure that nothing is going on. Are you going to tell everyone to sit back & wait for a witness to come onto these forums to verify? Feel free to do that, whilst some of us try to get to the bottom of this. The topic title is misleading & I would personally prefer not to see this escalate. The parents may or may not have already been in touch with the school. Reading the original post I'm not convinced anything was done about it so I contacted the school to make sure they were aware. ''Exactly. very surprised that anyone would give this third-hand gossip the time of day.'' Jeremy, you would be surprised how much third-hand gossip has lead to real cases of animal cruelty. Some witnesses are just not comfortable with reporting it. This may not even be true. But how many children do you know in year 3 who cannot distinguish the difference between a cat in a carrier & a fox in a trap or have been exposed to so much animal abuse that they would make something like this up just to stay at home from school? Either way, it has been reported.'' I fail to see what I have written so offensive? Strange behaviour from moderators/admins.

  5. The original poster sounds genuine & if they truly believe their friends daughter witnessed a trapped & distressed fox {or other animal} I don't think they would go out of their way to post with concern. Whether this is true or not I have brought this to the schools attention. If there is even the smallest chance that there is an animal trapped & can be released, I do not see a problem with acting on hearsay. Mick Mac, If this happens to be true & nothing is being done to help the trapped animal, are you really going to tell me to mind my own business? Although I do think this would have been better coming from the parents of the child who witnessed this.
  6. If you are not going to get in touch with someone about this, I will. I cannot stand the thought of any animal suffering & whether it is a fox or not, it may still be in that cage.
  7. Hi ED, I'd just like to clarify that I do only cover East Dulwich {sorry!} However, I'm always happy to recommend some great alternatives that I personally know & trust. Thank you so much for all of the interest I have received. I have very little availability left for August {very popular month!} so do get in touch now. Kindest, Heather {The Wingless Bird}
  8. Hi Aysel! Shall send you a private message...
  9. I'm looking forward to seeing the little bats that come out in the evenings! If only I could take a picture.
  10. Again, Myla & Davis in Herne Hill! I can see them pulling this look off beautifully. Check out their website; www.mylaanddavis.co.uk. I just wrote a review about them on another thread :3
  11. Wow! A lot of recommendations for Kuki - I don't think I know that one. But I'm going to recommend Myla & Davis. The service is just wonderful. A little pricey & further {situated in Railton Rd, Herne Hill} but it took me so many years, a lot of bad experiences & 'meh' services, both within East Dulwich & west end until I found this little gem. If anyone's as 'particular' about their long locks, hair color & condition, as I am, I promise you can't go wrong with this place. They also offer a fine selection of wines, teas & coffees & a special 'baby Monday' for those who have kids {or want to avoid them!} It's always a relaxing experience here; just you & your stylist - you'll never be crowded with 3 + girls surrounding you {like Village Way} which always made me feel really uncomfortable. There's no such thing as a 'rough blow dry', you'll end up walking out with a masterpiece one way or the other! Zina is my favourite :3 www.mylaanddavis.co.uk

I'm 23 years old now & this reminds me very much of how it felt back when I was younger. But then again, I was a very well behaved kid, brought up single-handedly by my mother. The attitude of some parents these days who demand special treatment is embarrassing to me & is going to set a bad example for their children. I'm still in shock that some children are being pushed around or strapped in buggies at the age 5. Just wow...
  13. It feels really good to be back . I've missed all of you. I hope you are well, Tara & I hope the cats have been behaving themselves! x
  14. Hi horseplay, Terribly sorry to hear about your friends experience :< Isn't it about time some cameras & better lighting was put in place in this particular area? It is well known for muggings which is why I try to avoid walking through this park late at night or whenever it gets dark... even in broad daylight. I tend to walk through when other shoppers are passing. I just feel a little safer.
  15. I'm so sorry for the lack of information given on the website - it is indeed a work in progress & really is in need of a makeover! I'll be sure to keep ED updated on any changes made. A recent post of mine http://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/forum/read.php?30,1123269 for more information on my services. Please feel free to send me a private message, email or a text/call {my number is still 07534984756}. I still have some availability throughout June {although filling up fast with some last minute requests!} I only provide my services to East Dulwich & take on a small handful so that I can spend quality time with each of my visits ^ ^ Have a lovely weekend, girls! Kindest, Heather {The Wingless Bird}
