  1. Growlybear, call me rude but if ppl took any notice on what you say, there would be no political campaigns in this lovely community of ours :)
  2. well that's for the council to decide after we put our case forward!
  3. Once again lovely East Dulwich Folks, Save Fairlawn Nursery! Please sign our petition, if you hadn't done so already! :)
  4. i tried to move it to family room but it was removed due to duplication. i will continue with my campaigning until my deadline regardless of the trolls!
  5. well i have reported the trolls to admin now. so hopefully they can carry out their character assassinations elsewhere!
  6. thanks a lot for the private messages, it is encouraging to know that ppl actually care about their community :)
  7. i am a mother whose child was on the list to go to that nursery! i know the staff there and they are delightful! even if this petition doesn't achieve anything it is a moral support to the staff who are facing redundancies! in addition, my child will be ok as i could just about afford the fee for a private nursery but some of my friends can't! 15 hours of free child care doesn't translate well into private nurseries!
  8. listen, i don't engage in character assainations in these forums. I have put out a petition there and was looking to collect signatures. if you sign, you sign, if you don't, you don't! it is not nice being called a liar, arrogant when you guys don't know me at all!
  9. JoeLeg dbboy i have reported your message. i don't appreciated being bullied by you or dbbooy or have my character assassinated!
  10. ok. horniman museum has a plant nursery :) thanks for your help though!
  11. Sorry I know for a fact that horniman does not have a nursery! My friend who has two boys there is having to send her little girl elsewhere! Though they have extension for a reception year which will never ever going to be a nursery because the schools get more money for reception children than pre school kids!
  12. Horniman having a nursery is a big news to me! When did that happen? Last year Fairlawn nursery Fed to Horniman School in great numbers!
  13. Rumour has it that it was 35%. Satisfied? :)The only figure I need to know is that how much the school is having to contribute into running the nursery!
  14. I only need to know the actual figure of deficit of maintaining the nursery! School finance is not my area of expertise, I am afraid!
  15. All the schools in the area had a budget cut! Hence why the governing body of Fairlawn School had to make a decision to close down the nursery only a few weeks after of having new kids starting at the nursery! Pre schools have flexiable intakes, they could have January, April and September intakes. Or only a September intake! So, the numbers may or may not have been falling!
  16. Facts and evidence? What facts and evidence according to whom?
  17. well, they are the movers and shakers in the area. Thousands of twitter followers, they have launched their own honey brand called Camberwell Cemetery- noone even bats an eyelid to the name! :) Anyhow, back to Save Fairlawn Nursery! :)
  18. Well as a mother of two kids who live by these woods, it is heartening to see that save southward woods campaign is a such a successful campaign! Maybe having great PR skills is a tad bit overrated then! :)
  19. i should hope so as we live moments away from these woods. :) and if you can't see their point nor my point then that's your problem!
  20. incidentally backing save southwark woods 100%. :)
  21. :) it bloody well does! Goodness me, i only wanted signatures! i didn't expect all that pettiness!
  22. As i said you don't make that decision, local authorities do! So i suggest you start listing how you want the public money to be spent and put it forward to local authorities! :)
  23. With all due respect Penguin68, this is for the local authorities to decide not for you!
  24. Look when we took up this campaign we knew it may not appeal to everyone, in retrospect i should've posted this in family forum rather than general one. But unless you had a child there, you could not appriacate what a wonderful place Fairlawn Nursery is. The deficit is pitifully small. We just can't see why the local authority can't save it. No, i won't send my child to a catholic nursery, I don't have a religion. No offence, if you do have a child there. I don't appreciate being called a liar, when this nursery closing has everything to do with the cuts!
  25. Thank you Help-Ma-Boab :)
