  1. Have you nothing better to do than worry about a porta loo in the road?
  2. Go ahead run the route for a service paid for by tfl, paid for by the people that use the service...... Go figure. The discussion about the route on a forum is not going to make a change. It's good to be able to share information. It's annoying to have certain individuals on here to just pick at people and or what they have written
  3. Someone needs to take the time to contact tfl or go ahead group who actually provide the service. Road works are complete, even on clapham park road. The service from go ahead at Peckham bus garage is appalling
  4. The top of Dulwich common road, opposite the old harvester
  5. You clearly don't use the station very often! @edcam..... actually i do, there plenty of buses you can get from there instead! Some places do not even have a station to complain about, thank your lucky stars. If people were a bit more polite and walked in an orderly fashion, the station would be more than adequate to deal with the demands.
  6. the people foot print through denmark hill is not that dramatic to need such a big station. Im surprised the people of Dulwich aren't just more annoyed because the station is now modern and not old with history. When will people start demanding that network rail buy the old garden centre next to east Dulwich station and change it to a massive station forecourt
  7. lets not waste money on 20mph signs on roads where the average speed is already below the current limit. Maybe fix the pavements and pot holes instead :)
  8. Staferjack move on please. The thread was created as a topic of discussion not for people to try and put holes in 1 opinion. Like I have said, the councillors haven't gone the right way about it, it had left mixed opinions. Maybe they might take the into consideration with future investments = making a change. Thanks for your time
  9. Is it normal for everyone to speculate that any business that closes on lordship lane is going to become a Starbucks? I hope they make a McDonald's and give you all something to moan about
  10. Some people have only joined this post to nit pick. Majority of the local area are disappointed, end of. As for funding with the old dulwich hospital grounds, I heard this directly from robin. Those children are now adults and have no use for this as it was promised so long ago and never put into action. The small fences ontop of existing walls are a great idea, but it doesn't stop people from leaving gates open. These were not an issue, the issue is the park area and the 10ft railings installed to prevent access!
  11. These issues have stood for years. Now residence are no longer informed of changes, they just happen and then they have to wait for a leaflet
  12. The problem stands, Robin doesn't actually reach out or talk to the community, only a select few and I'd say 3 from the lytcott grove estate. The only thing I can see the councillors have achieved is creating a large rule book of 'do nots' It's rather boring now
  13. At the end of the day, i came here to express an opinion and have discussions with others that have the same views, regardless of what is written in this forum, i am fully aware it will not change the circumstances. All these councillors are over paid people with tax payers money to spend as they please and cover it with a "its good for the community" speech. My living location is of no concern to any of these councillors. As i stated, i grew up on the Lytcott grove estate. I only referred to it as the melbourne grove estate as that was how it was referred to in previous council letters. Good luck with making the rest of your executive decisions about railings and apple trees. I have nothing further to say on the matter as it is pretty clear that a change would never come.
  14. Consultations may have been given to the few people that the local counselor associates herself with but public notices must have been placed in trees or some other obscure place as not to be seen. Why not take those apple trees and plant them in your own garden, Apples grow and die yearly. The fact you can calculate how many have been lost is proof that you either have too much time on your hands or that you have a weird infatuation with Melbourne grove estate. As my point stated there are many people now living on their own in 3 bedroom now privately owned ex council properties that dislike children. If it wasn't for those people making obscene claims about the local children then the prison which now stands would not be needed. As far as my local knowledge DKH estate and greendale all have far worse reputations. It seems as though Miss Hilton moved into the area and didn't like the idea of sharing a street with a council estate. To play the role of a victim on a public forum is laughable. You stated that a post like this was predictable, but i feel that maybe it just tapped into your conscious of your true intentions for this once great community. The police and the residents that feel the area needs be more protected clearly need to move to the country side as city living is not for them.
  15. Is it just me or has this place become a prison? With the local councilor using this estate as her personal lock up, fences and apple trees are all that exist since the insistence of a 'no children allowed to play' policy now in place by the council. This was a great community area where i was fortunate to grow up myself. Since the 'right to buy' was put in place by Maggie Thatch, loads of these council properties are now privately owned by singletons (that do not need 3 bedroomed homes) who have nothing better to do then share their dislike for children with the local councilor. There are much better things that could be invested in, other than ghastly railings, Apple trees and closing children's playgrounds.
