  1. Lewisham Council Drive Catford?s Regeneration by Bring Empty Spaces Back into Use Hot on the heels of signing the contract with Little Nan?s Bar to take on the Broadway Theatre cafe and bars in Catford, Lewisham Council are now seeking similarly exciting propositions to reanimate a number of key sites in Catford town centre. With the wide scale regeneration of Catford planned for 2020/21 Lewisham Council currently have a number of sites available for meanwhile use and longterm lease. These spaces offer wide possibilities for diverse, creative, commercial, residential and mixed-used occupation. The hope for these developments is to inject a new burst of life and creativity into some of Catford?s derelict and unused spaces, helping to bring new talent, opportunities and resources to the local area. Developments will help to catalyse the re-invigoration of Catford town centre, and meet Lewisham Council priorities for local regeneration, growth and investment. The three spaces are: 1) ?Thomas Lane Depot, Catford, SE6 4RZ 2) ?17-18 Catford Broadway, SE6 4SN 3) ?The Brookdale Club, Brookdale Road, Catford, SE6 4JY Independent consultants Louise Brooks and Nicky Chambers, responsible for sourcing a new operator for the theatre cafe and bars, are once again working with Lewisham Council to seek tenants, developers and creative entrepreneurs who fit the bill. This is an opportunity to be at the forefront of exciting developments in Catford. These are key spaces in fantastic locations. There is so much potential for the right proposition. Although the redevelopment of Catford town centre is in the planning phase and not due to commence until 2020/21, we are actually working hard to build links and establish businesses and opportunities that will benefit Catford now. Full details of the opportunities can be found on Lewisham Council website here: http://www.lewisham.gov.uk/inmyarea/regeneration/Catford-regeneration/Pages/Temporary-use-of-empty-premises-in-Catford.aspx. Viewings are scheduled for: Tuesday 24 January Friday 27 January
Expressions of Interest should be submitted by 7th February 2017. Contact Louise or Nicky for further information at [email protected].

  3. Stag & Bow still have a few spaces on our Beginners Crochet 3 part course starting this Wednesday http://stagandbow.com/product/beginners-crochet-95-wednesday-8th-15th-22nd-june-6-30-8-30pm/2 Beginners Crochet Wednesday 26th October, 2nd and 9th November 6.30 ? 8.30pm (6 hours) Over 3 weeks learn how to crochet! Learn the basic stitches to make flowers and the good ol granny square. We like to think our beginners crochet workshops to be the most comprehensive and relaxing in town? Spaced over three weeks in 2 week sessions you get to grips with crochet slowly, surely and most importantly confidently. The first week you will learn how to hold your hook, tension your yarn, make a foundation chain and get to grips with single and double crochet. You will go home and practice, find your own rhythm and relax your shoulders coming back the following week to learn how to put these skills together in a granny square. On returning (no doubt wearing an afghan poncho) you will learn how to increase, decrease and read a pattern, putting all these skills together to make a table full of pretty flowers and a sweet pair of Mary Jane shoes. No experience necessary ? A hook, yarn and inspiration provided!
